What time does Persona 5 The Phantom X release?

24 June 20253 Mins Read

Persona 5: The Phantom X will give you more chances to collect personas and steal even more hearts alongside some new phantom thieves — all from the comfort of your own phone.

Persona 5: The Phantom X (also known as P5X) is finally going global after being available for more than a year in countries like China and South Korea. Developed by Perfect World, the game brings all the elements fans love from the Persona series, but this time alongside a gacha system.

If you’ve received the calling card, here’s when Persona 5: The Phantom X releases in your time zone

What time does Persona 5: The Phantom X release?

According to a press representative for Persona 5: The Phantom X, the game will be available at 2 p.m. EDT on June 25 for Android, iOS, and Windows PC. Here’s when that is in your time zone:

What to expect from Persona 5: The Phantom X

Alongside Persona 5 Strikers, Persona 5 Tactica, and Persona Q2: Cinema Labyrinth, The Phantom X is another spin-off sprout out of the fifth mainline Persona game. While it is officially licensed by Atlus and Sega, P5X was developed by the studio Perfect World, the developers behind Tower of Fantasy and the upcoming gacha game Neverness to Everness.

From classic personas to metaphorical palaces, Persona 5: The Phantom X offers more of the Persona 5’s universe to the fans — kind of, since the game takes place in an alternate universe from the original Persona 5. P5X puts you back in Tokyo, where we play as Wonder, the leader of a brand-new group of Phantom Thieves.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a complete new adventure that wears its origins on its sleeve. Just like in the original game, the Phantom Thieves in P5X want to reform society by stealing the hearts of certain individuals. To do so, you fight enemies using personas in turn-based battles, where hitting the elemental weaknesses is key to victory.

Like in previous Persona games, P5X features social links, characters with whom you can build closer relationships with — and eventually romance some of them. The game also features Lyn Inaizumi, who was present in all other Persona 5-related games singing the opening theme, “Ambitions and Visions.”

The biggest difference in P5X is the gacha system. Similar to games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, you’ll use specific currencies to pull for characters from a banner in Persona 5: The Phantom X. When you pull in the banner, there’s only a chance to get the character you want, so make sure to save your currency accordingly.
