What’s Coming to Netflix This Week

26 May 20255 Mins Read

PIG, Dept Q and Now You See Me – Picture Credits: Neon / Netflix / Lionsgate

Welcome to the final week of May. Although it’s going to be a quieter week on both the news front (until the weekend anyway) and on the new releases front until we cross over into June, that’s not to say there’s not plenty to watch over the next seven days. Here’s everything scheduled to arrive on Netflix between May 26th and June 1st, 2025.

Don’t forget you can see the complete list of new releases scheduled for June 2025 on our comprehensive preview for the upcoming month’s new arrivals here. Also, all of the titles are below are in addition to weekly new arrivals of K-dramas and anime titles such as Witch Watch, ONE PIECE and Yaiba: Samurai Legend on the anime side and the K-drama side Two Husbands One Wife, Screw Balls, Tastefully Yours, News Anchor, among others.

Now, let’s get into three things that should be on your radar this week:

What to Watch on Netflix This Week

Netflix TUDUM 2025

Coming to Netflix LIVE on Saturday

If you’ve got the evening free on Saturday and want the lowdown on Netflix’s upcoming Fall 2025 slate of titles (and indeed, beyond) then TUDUM needs to be on your radar. Suppose you tune in on Netflix on Saturday night. In that case, you’ll be treated to first looks at new series and movies in addition to musical performances, interviews, and appearances from dozens of talent connected to Netflix’s biggest properties. Netflix has sold out tickets, so your only way to a front row seat is on Netflix itself.

Dept. Q (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

It’s no secret that Netflix UK is on a two-year hot streak with its TV series lineup (we won’t talk about movies!).. Hoping to continue that killer streak this week, they’ve teamed up with the creator of The Queen’s Gambit and renowned actor Matthew Goode for a crime drama that looks like it could be a big hit.

The plot focuses on the brilliant but abrasive DCI Carl Morck, who is sidelined to Department Q, a dead-end cold case unit created for PR. But as he assembles a misfit team and reopens a high-profile disappearance, Carl proves he’s far from finished, rattling cages and refusing to let go.

Lost in Starlight (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

If you think about anime movies, the vast vast majority come from Japan and although the US has been producing more titles in this arena, one nation that’s not associated with the artform at all is South Korea. That may change come the end of the week with the release of Lost in Starlight, a new feature film about an astronaut who has left Earth for Mars, and discovers that vast infinite space divides star-crossed lovers. The new movie looks emotional, hard-hitting, and visually stunning. We can’t wait to see the fruits of this labor at the end of the week.
