Welcome to another weekly rundown of every new movie and series set to premiere in the final week of October, as we cross into the penultimate month of the year this weekend. Below, we’ll tell you three things we’re looking forward to this week and cover the full preliminary list of the dozens of titles on the way between October 27th and November 2nd.

As we cross into a new month, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with all the new releases scheduled throughout November 2025, and we keep learning of more, such as the AMC anthology series Soulmates, which just confirmed a November premiere.

Our Most Anticipated New Releases on Netflix This Week

Ballad of a Small Player (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Wednesday

Netflix’s Fall season of its biggest movie swings officially got underway last week with the release of A House of Dynamite, and continues strong in the middle of the week with the new flick from the director of All Quiet on the Western Front, Ed Berger. He’s teaming up with Colin Farrell, Fala Chen, and Tilda Swinton for a low-key thriller set in the bustling and lit-up nightlife of Macau.

Lord Doyle (played by Farrell) has washed up in Macau, hiding from his past amid neon lights and endless casino nights. Broke, drunk, and running out of luck, he spends his days gambling away what little remains. When the enigmatic Dao Ming (Fala Chen), a casino worker with hidden motives, offers him a way out, Doyle grabs at the chance for redemption. But his reprieve is short-lived. Cynthia Blithe (Tilda Swinton), a relentless private investigator, is closing in, forcing Doyle to face the truth he’s been drowning in. As debts mount and reality begins to twist, Doyle’s desperate bid for salvation becomes a descent into something far more dangerous.

Little Women (Limited Series)

Coming to Netflix: Saturday

The BBC (licensed to PBS Masterpiece in the US) series Little Women is a three-part miniseries adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, which aired in 2017 and will be making its Netflix debut this week.

Set during the American Civil War, the series chronicles the lives of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate adolescence and young womanhood in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is away at war. Under the guidance of their loving and charitable mother, Marmee (played by Emily Watson), the sisters endure genteel poverty, pursue their unique ambitions, and experience the universal trials of love, loss, and growing up. The miniseries is notable for its ensemble cast, which also featured Stranger Things star Maya Hawke as the spirited, aspiring writer Jo March and veteran actresses Angela Lansbury as the formidable Aunt March and Michael Gambon as the kindly Mr. Laurence.

The Witcher (Season 4)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

The big new series for the week is the return of The Witcher with a fresh new face at the helm. Liam Hemsworth is taking up the role of Geralt after Henry Cavill vacated the role following the end of season 3. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are once again at the center of the story in this penultimate season with a raging war ongoing throughout the Continent.

It’s certainly going to be an interesting season, given that the franchise has really struggled to maintain anything resembling a positive image on the internet for the past few years. Whether it’s critiques on the series itself or on the people behind it, fingers crossed season 4 can do what it needs to to end the franchise, which will conclude with its fifth season, on a high note or fall away with a whimper.
