Road trip season is here, which means you might soon be driving by one of Canada’s many roadside attractions.

There may be a few that come to mind – maybe the Big Nickel in Sudbury or Tyra the Tyrannosaurus in Drumheller, Alta. But as Globe and Mail reporter James Griffiths recently learned on his trip to Australia, Canada isn’t the only country that builds massive monuments along their highways.

How Australia fell in love with supersized roadside attractions

The Globe wants to know: What’s your favourite roadside attraction in Canada? Is there one that’s particularly quirky or holds a special memory for you? It could be one in your own hometown, or something you’ve passed by only once or twice.

Share your thoughts using the form below. If you want to submit a photo of your favourite attraction – family photos and selfies are welcome! – please send them to us here.

Your item and response may be included in a coming Globe and Mail story about roadside attractions, and we’ll reach out if we plan to feature you or need more information.

What’s your favourite roadside attraction in Canada?

Whether it’s a statue next to a road in your hometown or a monument you’ve passed by only once, we want to hear about your favourite roadside attraction in Canada. Share your thoughts in this form and if you want to send us photos from your last visit, send them to us here.
