Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless have swapped actors. Billy Flynn is out as Chad, and Conner Floyd is in as the legacy character.
Not only that, but Flynn has taken over the role of Cane on Y&R. In fact, Cane played a major part in Floyd’s exit from the CBS soap as Chance.

As Parade reported, Chance was killed, and Floyd broke his silence on leaving with an emotional message. Now that Floyd has aired his final scene as Chance, the question of when Flynn will air his final scene as Chad on the Peacock soap has come up.
The answer is that Flynn will be playing Chad for the rest of 2025. Flynn’s final airdate on Days of Our Lives is planned for January 2026, but no official date has been revealed.
Days films almost 10 months out, which means even though Flynn filmed his last scenes as Chad in March, he will be on screen until the new year. This includes being part of the Days of Our Lives 60th anniversary in November.
When Flynn is finally off-screen, Days fans will wait three months before Floyd debuts as Chad. The actor began filming in June but won’t premiere in the role until April 2026.
Soap fans are getting a double dose of Billy Flynn for the next few months as he plays Chad on Days of Our Lives and Cane on The Young and the Restless.
Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
