Where Are Jon and Kate Gosselin's 8 Kids Now?

27 August 20257 Mins Read

Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin were the first super-sized family to grace TLC with Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The now-divorced couple share twins Mady and Cara and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Leah and Joel.

Beginning in 2007, the family’s reality series followed the struggles of parenting eight young children as well as the struggles of Jon and Kate’s marriage, which ended in 2009. (The show then transitioned to Kate Plus 8, while Kate later starred in Kate Plus Date, which followed her journey—so far unsuccessful—to find romantic love.)

While the drama between their parents took center stage, whatever happened to the tykes? Find out where Jon and Kate Gosselin’s kids are now that they’re all grown up—and while you’re at it, maybe settle in with some bi-focals and Metamucil, because you’re about to feel old as hell.

Where Are Jon and Kate Gosselin’s 8 Kids Now?

Madelyn “Mady” Gosselin Then and Now

Madelyn “Mady” Gosselin is one of the Gosselin twins born Oct. 8, 2000. She was 6 years old when Jon & Kate Plus 8 premiered. When she was 16, she told PEOPLE, “I would love to perform in some way. And I feel like I could write some sort of memoir already.”

Mady, 24, graduated from Syracuse University in 2023 with a degree in English textual studies, film and screen studies and a minor in art history. Today, she lives in New York City and is a TikTok content creator (because obviously).

Now 24, Cara is a leasing credit officer for Bank of America, focusing on their education, healthcare and non-profit teams. She previously interned at BoA as a global wealth and investment analyst.

Alexis Gosselin Then and Now

Alexis Gosselin celebrated her 21st birthday with her sextuplet siblings on May 10, 2025. She was the first of the set to be born.

Alexis stays off of social media, but here’s what we have gathered about her life from Kate: She’s an animal lover and a big fan of Vegemite. Alexis appears to live with Kate, based on a clip the matriarch shared on her TikTok account.

Hannah Joy Gosselin

Hannah Joy Gosselin, 21, is the second-oldest sextuplet, born right after Alexis. In 2018, she moved in with father Jon and brother Collin fulltime, though she told Entertainment Tonight that she had a “stable” relationship with Kate as well.

Hannah launched her own beauty brand, Gosselin Girl Beauty, which focuses on clean skincare, in May 2022. She graduated high school in June 2023.

Aaden Gosselin

Aaden Gosselin is the third-born sextuplet and the last of the Gosselin brood to get his braces removed, going metal-free in 2020. Now 21, Aaden keeps his life quite private, but from what we can gather, he adores animals like his sister Alexis, with Kate noting that he has a special bond with one of the family’s German shepherds named Mak.

Collin Gosselin

Collin Gosselin, another of the sextuplets, made headlines in August 2016 when Kate announced to PEOPLE that she’d enrolled him a program away from home to address what she said were his “special needs.”

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things,” she said of the then-12-year-old. “This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this. By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him—our entire family has been impacted.”

Hannah claimed in a 2023 Vice special that Kate would also separate Collin from his siblings growing up, including not letting him eat meals with his brothers and sisters. Kate responded in a statement to PEOPLE that Collin “was a very troubled young man,” “has received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years” and had a “distorted sense of reality.”

Kate’s decision led to her and Collin, now 21, being estranged. He left the still-unspecified special needs program; Jon retained full custody of Collin in December 2018 after Kate and her legal team failed to appear at a hearing. Collin accused Jon of physical abuse in 2020, which Jon reportedly denied; no charges were ever filed and the pair remain close.

After high school, Collin joined the Marines, but revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he was discharged when they learned he was “institutionalized” when he was 12. He’s since launched his own pressure washing business in Pennsylvania.

Collin remains estranged from Kate, but told Entertainment Tonight that he’d love to have a better relationship with his mom. He also claimed that reality TV contributed to the schism in the family, explaining, “I want to believe it was because of TV and what being in the public eye does to a family. I think it tore us apart. It gave us less time to actually be together as a family [and] more time to be in the public eye.”

He wrote on TikTok in August 2025, “Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids? I will always love them more than anything. The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared. I love you guys… ❤️”

Leah Gosselin

The youngest girl of the Gosselin clan is Leah Gosselin. She loves baking, often documenting her confection creations on TikTok. Leah, 21, is a college student, and though she hasn’t identified her school publicly yet, she has shown off her dorm room—and her decor indicates that she’s a Swiftie.
