Where to find blueberries for blueberry leather in Grounded 2

30 July 20254 Mins Read

Finding Grounded 2’s blueberries marks your first step out of the survival game’s introductory stages, as you start exploring further afield and gathering resources to upgrade your Omni-Tool. You need blueberries to make blueberry leather, and there’s one guaranteed place to find them. It’s just not very safe.

Below, we explain where to find blueberries in Grounded 2 and how to make blueberry leather.

You can find roughly half a dozen or more blueberries on the picnic table, and while it’s a massive pain to climb up the table at this point in the game, it’s also a good way to knock out your Omni-Tool axe upgrade requirements in one go.

Climb up the picnic blanket on your buggy, and don’t stop to deal with the O.R.C Weevils along the way, as they explode and deal hefty damage. Once you reach the seat, turn right, and go under the cloth. Ignore the Orb Weaver Jr, and walk across the bar to reach the other side. You’ll see a briefcase and some small roaches. Go ahead and defeat the roaches, since you need roach chunks for the axe upgrade.

Then, walk into the cooler, and follow the path up to the top, exiting via the popsicle stick. This spits you out onto the tabletop, where you’ll see the tablecloth forming a small cave. Inside that is where you’ll find this limited selection of blueberries.

The easier place to look for blueberries in Grounded 2 f0r all your other needs is along the map’s southeastern edge, south of the ice cream cart ranger station and northeast of the Pebble Village Lunchbox point of interest. The first time you approach this area, the anonymous hacker who’s causing all the mayhem in the park threatens you to leave their berries alone and not to kill their robot bug soldiers. Naturally, you should ignore them and push ahead — carefully.

Most of the O.R.C robot bugs are your standard enemies, like the small version of the northern scorpion. However, the blueberry bushes are also home to a bumblebee who’s not happy to see you and who’s also not easy to defeat with the equipment you likely have at this point. Avoid pushing too far into the bushes so you don’t attract its attention, and focus on harvesting berries closer to the edge of the hedge.

Use a bow and arrow to shoot the berries down, and then chop them up with the Omni-Tool’s axe function. Each berry yields several chunks. Just bear in mind that they tend to roll when you start chopping, and they might roll right into an enemy’s line of sight.

Take your blueberry chunks back to the nearest ranger station and analyze them at the resource analyzer. Doing so unlocks the blueberry leather recipe for crafting at your workbench, along with a few others. It takes three blueberry chunks to get one piece of leather. You only need two pieces of blueberry leather to upgrade the Omni-Axe, but if you’re planning on making a lot of ladybug armor as well, it’ll take a lot of blueberry harvesting.

The first Grounded included a jerky rack crafting station where you could dry fruits and get one piece of leather for just one chunk of berry. We haven’t found that in Grounded 2 yet, but we’ll update if we come across it.
