13 November 20253 Mins Read

Wuxia fantasy Where Winds Meet is releasing globally soon, and Everstone Studio and NetEase’s new game uses the Chinese fantasy genre to create a fresh, free-to-play action RPG. To accommodate all kinds of players, Where Winds Meet has not only ways of making combat feel fair, but also a large map for you to explore every corner, seeking the magical secrets it hides. You can prepare for the game’s launch by checking when Where Winds Meet releases in your time zone and when you can preload it.

What to expect from Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play wuxia single-player online game that focuses on exploration and combat. Set in a fictional Chinese fantasy world, your character is surrounded by mysteries and dangers that you uncover as you progress through the campaign. To complement the main story, the game also features side missions, which you can find in major cities or unlock by talking to a random character you meet while traveling.

Although this is an online game, most quests are designed to be played solo. You have, however, the option to invite other players to your game to help you with certain encounters and activities.

Where Winds Meet has a simple combat system based on normal attacks and special abilities called Martial Arts and Mystic Arts. Both Martial Arts and normal attacks change depending on the weapon you’re using, giving you the chance to find the fighting style that suits you best. Want to play a traditional wuxia warrior wielding a sword? No problem! Or do you want to look stylish and fight with a beautiful umbrella or a delicate fan? You can do that too!

Because your character has a stamina bar, you must be mindful in combat about always saving energy to dodge, parry, or even run from danger. While timing parries might seem difficult, Where Winds Meet comes with an auto-parry option. By enabling it, you can escape from attacks using a single command.
