Who Won 'Jeopardy' Today? (March 20, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer

20 March 20263 Mins Read

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people’s trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category “Jargon.”

The clue: Former NFL QB Joe Theismann once joked that he shouted this word over 10,000 times, but had no idea what it meant.

The answer: What is “hut”?

In a repeat of yesterday’s performance, Jamie fell behind for the majority of the game, with David taking the lead. The reigning champ came back at the last Daily Double, though, going into Final Jeopardy $4,000 ahead of David. Both Jamie and David got the final answer correct, but Jamie bid over $11,000 to cement the win. He took home $30,401, bringing his total winnings so far to $162,203.

When is Jeopardy on next?

If you’re looking to get your fix more recently, ABC is airing the second quarter-final match of Celebrity Jeopardy! All-Stars tonight, Friday, March 20, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The evening will feature a showdown between stars Macaulay Culkin, Steven Weber and Jackie Tohn. If you would prefer to wait for the proper civilian version, Jeopardy! will come back Monday, March 23, with a new episode. Check your local listings to find out when to watch, as airtimes may shift due to airings of the March Madness tournament.

Where is Jeopardy streaming?

Jeopardy! is available on both Hulu and Peacock. Subscribers can enjoy watching new episodes the next day, as well as access a vault of many classic episodes to enjoy at a moment’s notice.
