After it was revealed that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes named a cocktail at their new restaurant “The Alchemy,” the quarterback revealed whey they decided to give Taylor Swift a nod on the menu.
As many Swifties know, Swift, 35, wrote her 2024 song “The Alchemy” about Kelce, 35. In the song, Swift makes several football references while describing their relationship. “So when I touch down / Call the amateurs and / Cut ’em from the team / Ditch the clowns, get the crown / Baby, I’m the one to beat,” Swift sings in the chorus of the song, which was featured on her Tortured Poets Department album.
“I’m not a big liquor drinker myself,” Mahomes, 29, said when he appeared on “The Drive” on 610 Sports Radio. “But from everybody I’ve heard from, it’s a really good drink and obviously wanted to have an ode to Taylor and how important she is, not only to us but this city as well.”
Mahomes and Kelce, 35, are opening their restaurant, 1587 Prime, on September 17 in Kansas City, Missouri, where fans will be able to buy the drink. “The Alchemy” is a clarified citrus vodka blend with dry curaçao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime and oolong tea.

“It’s something that I’m sure will be ordered a ton and will be a bestseller at the 1587,” Mahomes added of “The Alchemy” drink.
Not only does Swift get a nod on the menu, but so did the owners and their loved ones. Mahomes has a drink called Showtime and Kelce’s drink is called the Big Yeti, while Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, has a drink called Queen B.
Kelce and Mahomes’ restaurant will open one month after the tight end proposed to Swift after two years of dating. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post, which showed them posing for photos in a dreamy garden.
