Kroger is a lifeline for last-minute grocery runs, especially during the holidays. From fresh produce to fresh-baked bread and even cute holiday decor, it’s the go-to spot when you’re in a bind. But with many stores adjusting their hours—or closing entirely—on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, you might find yourself wondering if your local Kroger will be there to save the day should you need them.

Is Kroger Open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

According to Kroger, their stores will be open on Christmas Eve until 6 p.m. Most pharmacies that are located inside of Kroger stores, however will close at 4 p.m., with some possibly staying open until 5 p.m. If you need to stop by the pharmacy, it’s best to call ahead to check the hours. 

So what about Christmas Day? Can you count on Kroger to be open? Well unfortunately, all Kroger stores will be closed on Christmas Day and they will reopen the day after Christmas for regular hours. 

Don’t let a missing ingredient ruin your festive mood this year. Plan ahead for those unexpected grocery needs, and call your local Kroger store to get their Christmas Eve hours—just in case you need to make a last-minute shopping trip.
