Erling Haaland is making headlines at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a memorable debut for Norway, but this week, attention also turned to his longtime girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, after she revealed her favorite song to fans on social media.
Johansen shared the answer in an Instagram Story when responding to a follower who asked, “Whats your favorite song ?” Alongside the question, she revealed that her favorite track is “Say Say Say” by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.
The song, released in October 1983, became one of the biggest hits of the decade and remains a popular collaboration between two of music’s most iconic artists. Produced by George Martin, “Say Say Say” served as the lead single from McCartney’s album Pipes of Peace and topped charts in multiple countries, including the United States, Norway and Sweden.

The song spent six weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the most successful singles of both artists’ careers. Billboard later ranked it among the biggest hits in Hot 100 history.
The collaboration also produced a memorable music video featuring McCartney and Jackson portraying con artists named “Mac and Jack.” The video became one of the most talked-about music releases of its era and helped further boost the song’s popularity.
More recently, “Say Say Say” reached a new generation of listeners through a 2023 remake released by Norwegian DJ Kygo, who reimagined the classic track for modern audiences.

The revelation comes just days after Haaland delivered an impressive performance in his long-awaited FIFA World Cup debut. The Norway striker scored twice in a 4-1 victory over Iraq, helping his nation begin the tournament with a convincing win.
Haaland, 25, had waited years for his first World Cup appearance after Norway failed to qualify for the tournament since 1998. He wasted little time making an impact, scoring his first World Cup goal just 29 minutes into the match before adding a second goal later in the first half.
Meanwhile, Johansen has been supporting Norway throughout the tournament and recently shared her excitement before the opening match against Iraq.
“I have a really good feeling and I just can’t wait for the kickoff, for the match to start,” Johansen said in an Instagram Story video, according to NY Post.
“I’m wearing the home jersey today and my white miniskirt. So I’ll see you there, and let’s cross everything we have and cheer our hearts today for Norway.”
The Bryne native later shared photos from Boston Stadium, where she watched Haaland earn a two-goal performance and receive post-match recognition.
Johansen and Haaland have known each other since their youth soccer days at Bryne FK. The couple reportedly began dating in 2021 and welcomed their first child in December 2024.
As Norway prepares for its upcoming World Cup matches against Senegal and France, Haaland remains one of the tournament’s biggest stars. At the same time, Johansen’s social media activity continues to attract attention from fans eager to learn more about the woman supporting one of football’s most recognizable players.
