Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened the Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, Dolce by Wyndham, in Aalborg, Denmark, following a renovation.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded its presence in Denmark with the opening of the Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, Dolce by Wyndham. The 16-story hotel is located in Aalborg, Denmark’s fourth-largest city, and overlooks Kildeparken, a historic park in the area.
The hotel, originally opened in 1969, was taken over by Comwell Hotels in 2014. It has been a popular venue for events such as weddings and celebrations. The recent renovation aligns the property with the Dolce by Wyndham brand, which includes other locations in Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Odense.
The Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg features 198 rooms, including suites, standard, and superior rooms. The renovation incorporated Danish design elements, with furniture and accessories from the Danish brand HAY. The hotel’s dining options include Restaurant Vesterbro, which offers a seasonal menu with local produce, and Bar V, an all-day venue with a terrace overlooking Kildeparken.
For business and event purposes, the hotel provides 13 conference rooms across four floors, accommodating up to 365 guests. The 15th-floor Panorama Floor offers views of the city as a backdrop for events. The hotel is located 250 meters from Aalborg Train Station and 7 kilometers from Aalborg Airport, providing convenient access for travelers.
The hotel also includes a fitness center on the top floor, offering panoramic views of Aalborg. This opening is part of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ strategy to expand the Dolce by Wyndham brand across Europe, with recent additions in France, Italy, and Spain.
