You can create your own candles at these workshops in Edmonton

16 July 20263 Mins Read

Have you ever wanted to create your own candle? Well, now’s your chance with ScentSmoke‘s upcoming candle workshops in Edmonton.

At ScentSmoke’s workshops, you’ll be able to create your own candle (and, in one particular case, a charcuterie board as well) surrounded by the company of your friends, family, or delightful strangers looking to have a good time.

Don’t worry about bringing your own supplies; everything you need will be there for you when you arrive.

How will these candle-making workshops work?

Depending on what workshop you choose, it’ll vary, but most of these workshops end the same way: with a candle for you to take home.

For the Summer Candle Workshop at Boba and Brew, you’ll get to experiment with unique scents and designs with beautiful, pressed flowers inside a sleek glass vessel for your candle. From expert guidance, premium materials, and a delicious treat to enjoy while you create, they provide it all.

This specific workshop has availability on Saturday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Sept. 5, both at 3 p.m.

The other workshop being offered this season is their Candles and Charcuterie workshop at The Art of Cake. You definitely want to grab your friends to go to this one.

Their expert facilitator will guide you through the process of designing a personalized candle, from choosing your unique scent to crafting inspiring candle art in a hand-carved wooden bowl. While you create, you’ll be able to enjoy a curated selection of charcuterie, sip on refreshing bubbly, and immerse yourself in the serene vibes.

This event is perfect for beginners and experienced candle makers alike, so no worries if you aren’t too familiar with the craft.

As for dates, most of the workshop days for Candles and Charcuterie are quickly selling out. The only dates left available are on Wednesday, Aug. 12, and Wednesday, Aug. 19, both at 6 p.m. We recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible, as there is a limited amount left for each day.

If you end up falling in love with the workshop, you might want to look into their private workshop options. They host workshops for two or more people, and ScentSmoke takes care of everything from setup to teardown. Starting at $80 per person, it’s not too bad a deal.

Honestly, though, there’s going to be nothing better than a summer afternoon creating candles with your besties. So, get your tickets while you can, folks.

When: Various dates
Time: Various times
Where: Varies based on workshop
Cost: $80+
