You can hear true Calgary ghost stories on this after-hours tour of Heritage Park

16 September 20252 Mins Read

There’s a distinct chill in the air this fall, and as the autumn leaves rattle across the ground, it might put you in the mood to hear a ghost story. Or two.

Heritage Park is home to plenty of recorded ghosts. The Lady in White — rumoured to haunt the Prince House — and other mysteries surrounding the Gledhill Drug Store and the Canmore Opera House prevail.

If you’re in the mood for a good scare, their fall Ghost Tour series, happening from Sept. 17 to 25 and Oct. 1 to 16, might be just the ticket.

This September, you’re invited to step into the shadows and explore the eerie side of history with Heritage Park.

Are the rumours true? You’ll have to attend this ghost tour after hours at the park to find out.

What to expect

Heritage Park is full of history, but their annual fall Ghost Tour explores the dark side of the coin.

What have others heard and experienced in the historic buildings peppered along the park? What apparitions and unexplained phenomena have occurred? These are just a few of the questions that will be explored as you sleuth after hours.

You’ll follow along with knowledgeable guides who can recall the details of hauntings at historic buildings like the Sam Livingston House and the Fort.

You can expect to experience the park in a whole new light as you explore with no one but your group, and of course, those who linger in the dark.

The tour is designed for guests 16 and over, and you’re encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

Tickets to the event are $25, and it’ll definitely be worth it to hear the mind-bending things these guides have to say.

Whether you believe in spirits or are a true skeptic, you’ll find something to hold onto in these tales that haunt the grounds of Heritage Park.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 17 to Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park — 1900 Heritage Dr. SW
Cost: $25
