You can take on six haunted houses and a giant maze in Calgary this October

If you think you can handle a night of haunted houses, spooky characters, and getting lost in the dark, you’ll have several chances to put it to the test this October. Field of Screams is coming to Cobb’s Adventure Park in Calgary, bringing six haunted houses, a massive maze, rides, games, and food to snack on throughout the night.

Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

What to expect at the Field of Screams

What is Field of Screams?

According to organizers, Field of Screams is an annual outdoor Halloween event at Cobb’s Adventure Park in northeast Calgary, created by Screamworks Inc., the team behind Screamfest.

Instead of one haunted house, the event spans 20 acres and features multiple haunted attractions, games, rides, and fall treats to enjoy throughout the night.

What haunted attractions are there?

Field of Screams has six haunted houses, each with its own distinct theme. Here’s what you’ll find:

• Buried Alive
  • You can head underground for a claustrophobic nightmare where you’ll find yourself trapped in the dark and trying to make your way out.
• Haunted Mansion
  • Step inside a supposedly haunted home filled with strange creaks and moans, and a history of violent deaths.
• Mad House
  • Get ready to lose your sense of direction in this psychological maze. There are no maps, so you’ll have to figure your own way out.
• Scary Tales
  • You may recognize some of the stories hiding inside this haunted attraction, but they won’t look quite the way you remember them.
• Aliens
  • Something has gone very wrong, and you’ve walked straight into it. The house takes you through the world of alien experiments on humans.
• Death Trap
  • You’ll have 6,000 square feet of twists, turns and dead ends to navigate in this giant haunted maze. And just when you think you’ve figured out the right direction, an unexpected scare could send you back the way you came.

What else can I do while I’m there?

Along with haunted attractions, the park will have giant puzzles, Archery Tag, Black Light Mini Golf, pedal carts, and a tractor ride spread throughout the grounds.

You can also stop by the Kangaroo Petting Zoo, which will be open 6 to 8 p.m.

There’s also a bonfire on-site, plus a food truck, ice cream, mini-donuts and a candy store if you need something to eat or want to grab a treat while you’re there.

What is Adults-Only Night?

On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, Field of Screams is hosting an 18+ Adults-Only Night, so if you want to skip the big crowds and the kids, this is the night you’ll want to attend. The evening will feature the same Field of Screams attractions, but with a more intense atmosphere, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

When is Field of Screams happening?

Field of Screams runs on select nights throughout October, on Oct. 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Its Adults-Only Night takes place on Thursday, Oct. 22.

How much are tickets?

General admission tickets cost $33 plus GST and fees when purchased online, or $40 at the door. For the Adults-Only Night on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, tickets are $37 plus GST or $45 at the door.

Tickets are tied to a specific event date, so you’ll need to select which night you want to attend when purchasing.

Your ticket includes access to the Field of Screams event and its haunted attractions.

Food and treats are available for purchase but are not included with your ticket.

Where is Field of Screams taking place?

Field of Screams will take place at Cobb’s Adventure Park on the eastern edge of the city, just south of Highway 1. Free parking is available on-site.
