You can watch the Canada Day fireworks from an Edmonton riverboat this year

12 June 20253 Mins Read

July 1 is coming in hot, and there are going to be a ton of wonderful things to do in and around the city. One of the most scenic ways to spend the holiday? Watching the Canada Day fireworks from the Edmonton Riverboat.

Sound exciting? They’ve got an entire day of fun planned, and you won’t want to miss a beat — or a boarding time.

A full day affair

Toss on your maple-leaf best and get ready for three enchanting opportunities to soak up the sun from the North Saskatchewan River.

It all kicks off at 10 a.m. when guests can climb aboard for a breezy day brunch buffet. In addition to a relaxing ride, early birds can enjoy food, coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages, but if you’d prefer to sleep in, you’re also in luck.

At 2 p.m., take part in their community BBQ for free!

As the boat docks, hungry Edmontonians will be encouraged to tour the boat, enjoy some live music, and sink their teeth into some grub all without reaching for their wallet, and believe us, you’ll want to save your money for the main event.

At 9 p.m., the vessel will set sail for the final time for a dinner party and one of the most enchanting viewing experiences in the city.

Red, white, and boom

At 10 p.m., the riverboat will drop its anchor near the Walterdale Bridge, and the party will really get started. Not only will there be a live DJ and fun for those who snag a spot, but there will also be magic in the air, quite literally.

After you’ve had a complimentary drink, mingled, and danced yourself into relaxation, watch from the deck as hues of red, purple, and pink light up the sky.

Fireworks will take place at 11 p.m., and the boat will return to the dock shortly after.

Interested? Tickets are $150 and include party favours, a buffet dinner, one liquor ticket, and photos, as a professional photographer will be present.

Head to their website to purchase yours and get ready, Edmonton.

It’s going to be an exciting day — and night.

Happy sailing!

When: Monday, July 1, 2025
Time: 9 p.m.
Where:
9734 98th Ave. NW, Edmonton
Admission: $150
