Young Sheldon fans are buzzing with excitement after cast member Emily Osment shared happy news on social media.

With the success of the family comedy sitcom, CBS launched the spin-off Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, centering on Georgie Cooper, played by Montana Jordan and Mandy McAllister, portrayed by the former Disney star, as they navigate an unexpected marriage.

After two successful seasons, the series was renewed for another season, sparking major excitement among fans eager to witness more of the fun and family chaos surrounding the McAllister-Cooper clan.

To celebrate the special moment, Osment posted a screenshot of Deadline’s article announcing the show’s season three.

“THREE!!!!!” she wrote, emphasizing the third season of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

The comment section was buzzing with heartfelt messages, especially congratulatory greetings from fans and fellow celebrities.

This includes Young Sheldon co-star Annie Potts, who played the role of the feisty grandmother Meemaw.

The same goes for Melissa Peterman, who played the character of Brenda Sparks, the neighbor of the Cooper family.

With CBS’ announcement regarding Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season three, there is no official statement yet regarding a target release date, but viewers are hoping it will arrive later this year.

Fans are also hopeful that the upcoming season will feature a special appearance from Iain Armitage, who played the role of young Sheldon Cooper.

However, Raegan Revord, who appeared in both Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and Young Sheldon, is not closing the door on a possible loophole, especially since the original series establishes that Sheldon and his older brother Georgie go a long time without speaking due to an unresolved rift.

“The whole thing in the Big Bang Theory is that Georgie and Sheldon don’t talk,” Revord told Entertainment Tonight. “They kinda have a rift between them after George dies. If they are sticking to that, I feel like it wouldn’t make sense for Sheldon to come back. But who knows, they have found loopholes before, maybe they’ll find them again.”

At this time, Sheldon is also finishing his graduate work at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) while his brother is keeping up with his family.
