IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Career matters are under powerful stars on your birthday, so if you are in any way ambitious you will go all out to prove yourself this year. That’s great, but try not to see everyone as a potential rival or it could get lonely at the top.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You may want to be open about what you are doing this weekend but the planets warn it might be in your interests to keep the information between you and just a few close friends. Don’t tempt your rivals to try to scupper your plans.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

A link between the sun in your sign and power planet Pluto means you could come up against someone who will be more than happy to get ahead in the world by putting you down, so be on your guard at all times. Not everyone is a friend.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

You must not fall into the trap of getting bogged down in the kind of details that will inevitably bore you. Your focus this weekend must be on seeing the bigger picture and letting other people take care of the smaller stuff.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

A creative project has reached a critical stage and you need to be very careful what your next move will be. For best results you should put off making a decision until the early part of next week. Take time off to relax this weekend.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

There will some harsh words flying about over the next 48 hours and it is more than possible that you could find yourself caught in the middle. Stay calm and refuse to get drawn into a dispute that clearly has nothing to do with you.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may be feeling more assertive than usual but this weekend’s sun-Pluto link warns you could easily pick a fight with the wrong person and find yourself on the receiving end of some serious blowback. You don’t have to get involved.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Try not to take life too seriously this weekend. Some of the things going on in the world may make your blood boil but what can you personally do about them? Aim to be a force for good in your own backyard. Change starts at home.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

This weekend’s sun-Pluto link will affect you more than most people and it is highly likely that you will have to confront someone who has been annoying you for some time. Make sure they know they will no longer get away with it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

It’s not like you to be defensive and think you have to make excuses for your actions but for some reason your self-belief has deserted you. The good news is this is only a passing phase, so lay low for a bit until your confidence returns.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Don’t make promises today that you are not sure you will be able to keep tomorrow. The planets warn if you let people down they will make it their business to get back at you in the future. Sadly, some people can be vindictive like that.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Pluto in your sign squares up to the sun in one of the more emotional areas of your chart this weekend, so if you lose your cool it could be spectacular. Do your best to avoid confrontation, maybe even lock yourself away for a while.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

If you come on too strong over the next few days you could turn someone against you who should be your friend. The fact that you have been a bit introverted of late does not mean you must now go to the other extreme and make a huge noise.
