IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

The influence of Saturn on your birthday will force you to bring your big ideas down to earth. Everything you do over the coming year must be grounded in careful planning and a keen understanding of what is real and what is merely wishful thinking.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Everyone seems to want something from you at the moment and while you might like to give it to them the simple fact is you can’t afford it. Today’s Saturn-Neptune union means you must put No. 1 (that’s you) first at all times.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Don’t plan anything too extravagant today because whatever you decide to do will have to be changed in a matter of hours, maybe even minutes. So many things are up in the air at the moment, so keep your feet firmly on the ground.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

By all means do things for friends and family members today but don’t let their needs take up too much of your time. Come the evening, if you feel like escaping all the noise and confusion just choose your moment and quietly slip away.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

A Saturn-Neptune link in the career area of your chart warns you could be overly critical of yourself today. Assuming you are giving what you are working on your very best shot there is no reason why you should feel you are letting yourself down.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

It will become abundantly clear over the next two or three days that you have reached the point where the more effort you put into a project the less you are going to get back from it. So stop trying so hard and let fate take its course.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Don’t waste your time worrying about what other people are up to, and certainly don’t waste your time trying to dissuade them. If they want to be stupid that’s up to them – you are under no obligation to rescue them from themselves.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

If you aim for perfection today you will fall just a little bit short and be annoyed with yourself that you did not go all the way. Aim instead just to do better than your rivals, because they are still a long way behind your high standards.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

The more other people gossip about this and about that today the more determined you must be to shut your ears to every last word of it. These are serious times and you have serious work to do, so ignore trivial chatter and avoid trivial people.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You don’t need to big yourself up. You don’t need to make inflated claims about what you are capable of. In fact, if you are smart you will play down your talents even if friends and colleagues are praising them. Keep a low profile.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may not possess the creative flair of some of your rivals but you do possess a work ethic that is second to none, and that alone will take you a long way today and over the weekend. Patience and persistence will bring long-term success.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

There are limits to how hard and how far you can push yourself and if you are not sure where to draw the line you will find out over the next 24 hours. Even an Aquarius needs to respect certain physical and mental boundaries.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

There may be a luck factor working in your favour at the moment but that does not mean you can throw caution to the wind. With your ruling planet Neptune linked to Saturn today the universe won’t react kindly if you take ill-advised risks.
