IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

There is a fine line between saying what needs to be said and saying too much and it’s a line that needs to be approached with extra care this year. You have a hugely important message to get across, so don’t ruin it by going to extremes.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

If you try to understand why a friend or family member is behaving in such an aggressive manner you may find you have some sympathy for them. The hand they have been dealt is not one you would want for yourself, so don’t be judgmental.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

At some stage over the next two or three days you will have to choose between carrying on with your old ways, and remaining unhappy, or making a fresh start with the aim of making life more enjoyable – which is really no choice at all.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

Pay attention to other people’s needs today, because the more you help them out now the more inclined they will be to help you out later on when your positions are reversed. On the home front, especially, loved ones will appreciate your kindness.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

Anyone who thinks they can wear you down with their constant complaining is going to be disappointed. You are in one of those moods when, far from being annoyed by other people’s peculiar behaviour, you will find their efforts extremely amusing.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If you get the chance to move in a new direction between now and the weekend you really must take it. You may be moderately happy with your life as it is but you also know you should be doing more with your exceptional talents.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

With Mars in your sign it won’t be hard to make your mark and make sure people in positions of authority are aware of your presence. Don’t try too hard though – the best way to impress them is to make what you do look easy.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Details are for other people – it is the big picture that should be concerning you now. And what the big picture reveals is that the world is changing fast and to be one of life’s winners you will need to keep pace with progress on a daily basis.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you have not yet made up your mind about a career matter it might be best to just forget about it for a while. The fact that you were so unsure about your next move suggests you need to give the matter a lot more thought.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

What would you like to be remembered for? Whatever the answer to that question may be you need to recognize that you will not get from here to there without a lot of planning and a lot of effort. Don’t follow the herd – do your own thing.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may not want to criticize someone who is not pulling their weight but you have no choice. If you allow them to go on investing only 50 per cent effort, or less, you will never get any kind of useful return. It’s time to be brutal.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You seem to be in one of those moods when you feel that nothing in life is worth getting worked up about. If this more mellow approach to life works for you by all means carry on, though with your famously high standards it’s unlikely to last..

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

The fact that you made a mistake is of no consequence, what matters is that you managed to learn from it. Just because your sign has a reputation for drifting through life with no need of a direction doesn’t mean you are incapable of improvement.
