IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Mercury is at odds with Saturn on your birthday, which means there will be no room for fantasy thinking this year. Every plan you make must be thought through from start to finish. Every step you take must be measured and deliberate.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You need to face up to your differences with a family member and you need to do so now. The longer you allow bad feelings to simmer the harder they will be to resolve, so tell them it’s time for a head-to-head to sort it out.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Communications planet Mercury is under the heavy influence of Saturn today, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find the words to express how you feel. The good news is loved ones know you well enough to work it out for themselves.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Why is life so complicated of late? Whatever the reason your aim today must be to make things simpler for yourself by cutting back on your commitments and refusing to take on any more work. Sort your current situation out first.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

If you have any doubts at all about what you are working on you must stop and give it some serious thought. Cosmic activity in the career area of your chart makes this a good time to question your priorities, and maybe make sweeping changes.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

It won’t be easy to see through the web of lies that certain people have been weaving but you are smart enough to recognize that nothing they tell you can be taken at face value. In fact, the opposite of what they say is more likely to be true.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

An idea that comes to you out of the blue may seem wonderful but with your ruler Mercury overshadowed by Saturn it may not be as good as you think it is. You are under no obligation to act on it immediately, so ponder it for a bit.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You may think you have a duty to speak up and let someone in a position of authority know they are wrong but how about letting other people take responsibility for a change? The planets indicate it will pay you to keep quiet today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You may be under no illusions about what needs to be done but some of your colleagues are still kidding themselves that no more than a minor effort will be needed to set things right. Make it your business to spell out why they are wrong.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

If you are finding it hard to understand something that friends and colleagues believe is so simple then obviously you need to adjust your thinking. Of course, it could be that you are right and everyone else is wrong, but how likely is that?

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Your ability to distinguish between good and bad will be hampered by today’s Mercury-Saturn link, so you need to stop and think rather than act on impulse. Calm your mind and let your inner voice guide you. It knows all the answers.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

It will become painfully obvious over the next few days that you have been moving in the wrong direction, but it’s not the end of the world so don’t overreact. Most likely only a small adjustment will be needed to get you back on track.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Stop wasting time and emotional energy thinking about what went wrong in your life and start making plans that will make those failures look irrelevant. The universe will always give you another chance, and another after that as well, so quit worrying.
