IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

If you are in any way unhappy in your present environment then by all means move away for a bit. Time spent in a different place with a different group of people will remind you why you are blessed to be who you are and where you are.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

This is one of those weekends when there will be both good news and bad news. The former will outweigh the latter if you maintain a positive attitude both in your private life and in your career. Think success and you will enjoy success – it’s that simple.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

Although there is no reason to be pessimistic about your prospects what occurs this weekend may sow a few doubts about the direction in which your life is moving. Don’t get too worked up about it though – you know it will all come good in the end.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

You will get the chance to see someone you have admired from afar up close and personal this weekend and it will be an enjoyable experience. Just remember that, like you, they are far from perfect, so don’t expect too much of them.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

Do you give in meekly when faced with overwhelming odds or do you fight for what you believe to be right? This weekend’s Mars-Uranus link will put you in a combative mood but you need to remember that you don’t have to fight over everything.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Put your own needs first over the next 48 hours and ignore those who say you should be doing more for other people. Selfishness may not be a virtue but sometimes it is necessary for chasing after goals that are close to your heart.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You will have to take on a task that no one else seems interested in this weekend and you are advised to make a really good job of it. If you rush it just to get it over and done with your reputation for excellence is sure to suffer.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Two very different events will occur this weekend but there is a link between them and if you can work out what it is you will enjoy a huge advantage over your rivals. While they wander this way and that you will be heading straight for your goal.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Don’t take what you hear personally this weekend, even if it is obvious that someone is trying to talk you down. The fact that they have to resort to low tactics means they don’t have what it takes to challenge you directly, so you have already won.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Jupiter, your ruler, squares up to Saturn this weekend, which among other things means you will be confronted with a situation that requires a sustained response on your part. Don’t be fooled into thinking it can be solved with just a quick fix.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Yes, you have been working too hard. Yes, you need and deserve a break. But no one is going to give it to you, so push your in-tray to one side and don’t come back to it until Monday – or even Tuesday if you fancy a long weekend.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

The only thing that might spoil the weekend is if you allow yourself to get involved in a quarrel with someone whose outlook on life is the opposite of your own. You cannot change their views and they cannot change yours, so why waste time arguing?

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You need to accept there isn’t much you can do about a loved one’s irrational behaviour, except maybe to be there for them when the inevitable crash comes and they need a helping hand to get up off the floor. Let them make their own mistakes.
