IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

The most important thing over the coming year is that you maintain a balanced outlook on life. Above all you must refuse to let other people’s opinions drag you toward extremes. There’s nothing wrong with being middle-of-the-road.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

If you feel you have lost your way a bit in recent weeks then retrace the steps you took and find out at what point things started going wrong. You won’t have to change much at all. Just a small tweak and you will be flying again.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

No matter how much bad news may have come your way in recent weeks the cosmic picture is changing rapidly and soon it will be outweighed by so much good news you won’t know what to do with it all. But you’ll think of something!

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

You may have bitten off more than you can chew in one particular area of your life but that has had beneficial knock-on effects in other areas, so there is no need to feel bad about it. Keep biting, keep chewing and keep winning.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Ultimately there is no such thing as luck - the universe always gives us what we deserve, though not always in ways we expect. With that fact in mind don’t think that your current good fortune is unwarranted - you have earned it!

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Try to stay calm today when challenged by someone who appears to be looking for a confrontation. If they try to prod you into an angry reaction just smile warmly and let them know you are not going to play their stupid game.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Setbacks of one sort or another have been common of late, but the good news is the hands of the cosmic clock are moving on and in a matter of days most things will start to go right for you again. All you need for now is patience.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Your enthusiasm for a project has taken a dip of late but later in the year you will look back and realize that your loss of focus most likely worked in your favour. Don’t worry, you will be starting a new, and better, project very soon.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

What occurs over the next 24 hours will remind you that while you may not be able to change what goes on in the wider world you can change what goes on in your own neighbourhood. Small acts of kindness can have massive long-term effects.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

According to the planets you are trying too hard to “do the right thing” when you should be doing what is right for you personally. The simple fact is, if you are happy with your life then those you interact with will be happy too.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If someone you do business with makes you the kind of offer you find hard to refuse today you would do well to stand back and view it from a wider perspective. Most likely it looks so good because it is a work of make-believe.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You may be assertive by nature but don’t move too fast or push too hard over the next 24 hours. There are changes going on behind the scenes that will cause more than enough disruption without you adding to the chaos and confusion.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

A few days from now the sun will move in your favour again and so many of the things you have been worrying about will melt away like morning mist. But why wait? You can easily banish most of those worries today.
