IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Make it your business this year to find out what is going on behind the headlines. You have never been the sort to accept what the so-called experts say and the deeper you dig the more you will find. It won’t be pretty but it will be enlightening.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

If you have let your guard down in recent days then you may now feel a bit vulnerable because the world knows more about you than you feel comfortable with. But so what? You never claimed you were perfect, so why hide?

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

If a friend seems a bit distant today it may be because they have worries that you remain completely unaware of. Give them the space they need and don’t pester them about what’s gone wrong in their life. They’ll sort it out for themselves.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

You appear to have bitten off more than you can chew over the past few days and if that’s the case then you now need to pare back your responsibilities and focus on essentials only. Yes, even that big brain of yours has its limits.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Do you ditch a boring task and come back to it later on, or do you knuckle down and get it done right away? The latter is the sensible course of action, because if you leave it undone your conscience will nag at you endlessly.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You may not want to admit defeat but on this occasion that may be the most sensible course of action. A few days from now there will be new challenges to engage with and you won’t give a moment’s thought to what went before.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

It may be a while before you feel able to work with someone again but your relationship has begun to stabilize and the fact that you no longer feel threatened by them is a step in the right direction. Next time, don’t be so trusting.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Stand back from all the noise and confusion and try to get an overview of what’s going on around you. The best way to dispel fear is to know what the danger is, so let go of knee-jerk opinions and open your eyes to reality.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Your relentless nature is such that sometimes you push too hard and go too far and wind up wishing you had been more circumspect. If you have to backtrack on something you said or did today make sure you learn from the experience.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

The more other people seem to expect of you today the less you will be inclined to give them. Hopefully they will get the message and leave you alone but if not you may have to spell it out for them in less than complimentary words.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

A problem you have been wrestling with for weeks, maybe months, will resolve itself between now and the weekend, though maybe not in the way you expected. Do whatever it takes and whatever it costs to put it behind you once and for all.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

A positive outlook is a must over the next 24 hours, especially if you have allowed a number of pessimistic thoughts to worm their way into your mind in recent weeks. Act as if you know the universe has got your back, because it truly has.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

There is no point taking life too seriously at the moment. One half of what’s going on in the world may seem trivial, and the other half may seem terrible, but it will all work out for the best in the end. Somehow it always does.
