IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

There is a passionate streak in your nature and it will be much in evidence over the coming year. That’s great, but make sure your passion is always used in positive ways and for ends that benefit not only yourself but other people too.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

If someone appeals to your sense of duty today you should question what their motives might be. Is it something they want done for the greater good, or something they want done to boost their own bank balance? Find out and act accordingly.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You need to be a little less trusting over the next few days, because now Pluto has begun its retrograde phase you won’t always be able to believe what people in positions of power choose to tell you. It’s unlikely to be the whole story.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Venus in your sign makes you somewhat careless over the value of things and because of that you may be tempted to go on a spending spree. But if you do your money will probably run out before you reach the weekend.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

By all means push ahead with your career plans but don’t neglect equally important areas such as family matters and affairs of the heart. Jupiter in your sign is an excellent influence but it can make you a bit over-optimistic at times.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If someone you work or do business with throws their weight around today your best course of action by far is to put some distance between you and let them get on with it. They certainly won’t be open to reason in their current mood.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You need to be extra careful on the work front over the next 24 hours, because Pluto’s retrograde phase means that colleagues and employers will be either vague about what they expect of you, or downright misleading. Trust no one but yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

What you hear from a trusted source may actually be lacking in factual evidence, so check what you are told and then check again just to be on the safe side. If there is even the tiniest doubt in your mind don’t act on the information.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You are not the sort to forgive and forget and if someone takes liberties today you will be inclined to have nothing more to do with them. That’s your choice, of course, but you don’t have to be so extreme, especially if they are a friend.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

A clash of egos, most likely over a creative project, may be inevitable today and could result in an irreversible split. Come the weekend though you will have cooled down enough to realize that your differences are really not that great after all.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Don’t make a big deal of it if you were right about something and a friend was wrong. If you rub their nose in their mistake you could sour the relationship for a long time to come, so be magnanimous and focus on things on which you agree.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

It would not be wise to make a fuss about a family matter now that Pluto is going through its retrograde phase. A better strategy might be to say your piece, invite others to respond, and then postpone the matter to an unspecified later date.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You need to stop looking for perfection and instead settle for who and what you are and focus on making the most of that. Aim to be the best at what you do over the next few days but don’t let it worry you if you fall short.
