IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Focus on the big questions and don’t get hung up on everyday matters that are of only minor importance. Look for the deeper meaning in everything that happens and act as if your personal choices affect the world as a whole, because they do.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Because things are so unsettled at the moment it may be hard to look ahead more than a day or two, but that’s no great loss. Relax, get ready for the weekend and act as if you know the universe has something good in store for you.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Although the sun in your sign does wonders for your confidence other influences are making you a bit jumpy and that could show up in how you deal with challenges today and over the weekend. Stay calm and take life as it comes.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Venus in your sign makes you reluctant to get involved in disputes of any kind but that won’t stop someone trying to provoke you today. Promise yourself that you won’t lose your temper no matter how much they get on your nerves.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

The situation you are now involved with needs to be allowed to develop at its own pace. The more you try to move things along the more obstacles you will encounter, so be patient and watch what happens over the next few days.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If someone in a position of authority tries to persuade you that a certain course of action is for the best you can be certain that what they really mean is it will be best for them. Put your own selfish interests ahead of their selfish interests.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

So many exciting things are going on at the moment and the good news is they will continue for some time to come. However, you will have to be careful how much you spend today and over the weekend. Excitement doesn’t have to be costly.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Don’t take it badly if a friend seems determined to pour cold water on your plans. They are not being deliberately obstructive and may in fact be able to see potential pitfalls that you have missed. Maybe you should listen to their advice.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Do you help someone in need and by doing so disrupt your own plans for the day? Or do you refuse to get involved and leave them to sort out the mess for themselves? You have never been the selfish sort, so don’t change your ways now.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You may want to be friendly with the people around you but the planets warn if you open up and say too much you could put yourself in a situation where you lose friends rather than gain them. This may not be the right time for total honesty.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The sun in the most dynamic area of your chart gives you energy to spare but you must be smart and make sure it is channeled in positive directions. Energy itself is neither good nor bad, it’s how you choose to use it that counts.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Your powers of persuasion are high at the moment and if you use them sensibly you should be able to get friends and family members and even work colleagues to follow your lead. But do you know where you will be taking them?

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Yours may be one of the more charitable signs of the zodiac but sometimes you give too much and make others dependent on you. The last thing you want is needy people holding you back, so let everyone know there will be no freebies today.
