Celebrate Canada’s birthday at Spruce Meadows with a full day of activities, live entertainment and more. Guests can enjoy a complimentary barbecue courtesy of ATCO, along with a variety of performance and family-friendly programming throughout the day. For anyone looking to swap the city crowds for some mountain air this Canada Day, Kananaskis Mountain Lodge offers a more nature-focused way to celebrate. At the lodge, guests can take part in live Birds of Prey encounters, getting up close with majestic birds while learning more about wildlife conservation. The day also includes a barbecue and cake-cutting ceremony along with a lodge-wide scavenger hunt.

Calgary’s Main Stage Canada celebration is a free, city-run event in Prince’s Island Park, and if you’re into live music, this is a great spot to be. An all-Canadian lineup is taking the stage throughout the afternoon, featuring artists like Walk Off the Earth, Micah Sage, and Jamie Fine.
