IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Your birthday chart is a thing of cosmic beauty – one of the best of the year – and whatever you turn your mind and your hand to this year will be a huge success. Make excellence your watchword and never give less than 100 per cent.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

The sun’s move into the area of your chart that governs hopes and wishes will encourage you to seek out new ways to improve your life. This area also rules friendships, so instead of trying to do everything on your own start making strategic alliances.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

The ambitious side of your nature will get a boost this week as the sun joins Venus, your ruler, in the area of your chart that governs your standing in the world. Don’t look to authority figures to help you – you ARE an authority figure yourself.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

You have never been the sort to put profit ahead of principle and the planets indicate you will be motivated by what you think is right rather than what might make you the most amount of money. Good for you. Set a positive example.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You need to focus more on your wealth situation. Even if you are doing okay financially there are still areas where you need to tighten up, not least in how much you spend on possessions that quickly lose value. You don’t HAVE to splash out.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Like it or not you are going to be following rather than leading over the next few days. Cosmic activity in your opposite sign means you are not in a strong enough position to call the shots – so accept that, for now, you’ll be playing catch up.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Minor problems could easily get under your skin over the coming week, so promise yourself that you won’t rise to the bait when little things go wrong or when little people say and do things that are stupid in the extreme. Float serenely above it all.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

The planets have been good to you of late, with just the occasional emotional episode, but now you are about to move up a gear and really enjoy what it feels like to live in the fast lane. Don’t let anyone or anything hold you back.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You have to accept that you can no longer sweet-talk partners and loved ones into doing things your way. If you are not willing to compromise then you will find it increasingly hard to achieve anything substantial, so don’t be so stubborn!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

If you try to hide your thoughts and feelings others will see through you in seconds. Your best course of action by far is to go to the other extreme and let everyone know what you believe and why. They won’t always like it but you will be respected.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

Make use of the new moon in your sign, plus mind planet Mercury and action planet Mars, also in your sign, to push ahead with your dreams and schemes. Success is guaranteed if you have a clear vision of what you hope to accomplish.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

A new phase in your affairs is beginning and in a matter of days you will find yourself moving in a much more rewarding direction. The universe wants you to enjoy the best that life has to offer, so take control and make your dreams come true.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

What happens next will open your eyes to reality and force you to accept that you cannot carry on along the same path you have been on months, maybe years. With every challenge comes an opportunity, so keep your eyes and ears open.
