The Euphoria star took to social media on Labor Day to share her excitement for another lap around the sun, posting a heartfelt birthday message along with a cute throwback photo of herself aboard a merry-go-round.
“Just coming on here to say how grateful I am for another year of life and for all of you for making it so beautiful,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post on Monday, Sept. 1. “Thank you so so much for all of the love and warm wishes….as always, here’s to (the official last year of my twenties, literally wth) 29 🫶🏽Z.”
With at least 177 million followers on the platform, Zendaya’s friends and fans also joined in on the birthday fun in the comments section.

The Emmy-winning actress got her big break as a kid, when she landed a role on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up, which first started airing in 2010. Zendaya went on to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), where she met her future fiancé Tom Holland, as Us Weekly noted. She later appeared in the Spider-Man sequels as well as other acclaimed films such as The Greatest Showman, Challengers and the Dune installments alongside Timothée Chalamet.
In 2021, Zendaya became the youngest Primetime Emmy winner in her category when she won Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in HBO’s Euphoria.
The celebrated actress and singer will reprise her role in the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Brand New Day — and the eponymous superhero’s suit for the film was unveiled earlier this summer to coincide with National Spider-Man Day. Sony Pictures’ video gave a passing glimpse into a new, somewhat more comic-accurate costume worn by the web-slinging hero in the original comics.
