Disco Elysium developer ZA/UM has finally given players a first look at its next title, a CRPG called Zero Parades. The game was unveiled via an official announcement trailer which aired during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 showcase.
“Your friends are you,” the game’s trailer declares ominously. “Each a separate limb of the whole.”
ZA/UM describes the game as “a story-rich espionage RPG.” Players take on the role of a tormented “operant” (seemingly some sort of secret agent) on a high-stakes mission to “pick up the pieces of [their] broken network, untangle a bloody web of intrigue at the End of History, and prove [themselves] on the big stage or blow it all up — again.”
“ZA/UM, the studio behind [Zero Parades], has been through a host of changes,” Gamescom ONL host Geoff Keighley said, referencing the studio’s post-Disco Elysium breakdown. “But tonight, six years later, those who now make up the studio are ready to give the world its very first look at their next CRPG. It’s a dive into the shadowy world of espionage, where the truth can be stranger than fiction, and every failure isn’t the end, but the start of a new path.”
The game is clearly still in early development: the trailer included an unusual amount of concept art and sketches. That said, its art style appears very similar to Disco Elysium‘s. Zero Parades‘ official launch date has not yet been announced, though it’s currently available to wishlist on Steam.
