It’s a new week, which can only mean one thing: there’s a whole bunch of new things to do in Edmonton.

Each week during the summer gets busier and busier in the city. I’m just thankful we’re getting more events and concerts as the season progresses, and I’m here to share every activity with you.

Without further ado, let’s jump into the best things to do this week in Edmonton.

There’s no question that Edmonton has some of the best escape rooms around. We’ve rounded up the best of them in a list for you to check out as a family, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to escape.

Cost: $25+

We’ve rounded up some of the best hikes and trails in and around Edmonton. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned hiker, or just a casual trail lurker, we’ve got something for everyone.

Cost: Free

BeerFest Days is a six-day celebration taking place in downtown Edmonton. Bringing together arts, entertainment, beverages, and unforgettable moments with friends and family, you won’t want to miss out on this free event.

When: Now until Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Fort Edmonton Park is one of Edmonton’s most historic places. The Fort acts as its own time travel portal into the late 1800s. Throughout the winter and fall, it runs a couple of programs, but in the summer, the park truly comes to life. If you’re looking to get the full experience of the park, this is definitely the time to be going.

When: Now until Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026
Time: 
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday to Sunday
Where:
 7000 143rd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $27.90

Salsa in the Square is a program running every Wednesday in Churchill Square, thanks to ETOWN SALSA and the Edmonton Arts Council. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every evening, you’ll get a free class where you’ll learn basic moves for different Latin dances.

When: Every Wednesday from now until June 24, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

When: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Time: 10 p.m. to midnight
Where: Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Located at Salisbury Greenhouse in Sherwood Park, this market comes around every Thursday, no matter rain or shine. You can find a wide variety of offerings here, no matter if it’s food, trinkets, or something entirely different.

When: Every Thursday
Time: 4 to 7 p.m.
Where: 52337 Range Rd. 232, Sherwood Park, Alta.
Cost: Free

124th Grand Market takes over the streets on Thursdays and Sundays. Each week, there is a selection of over 60 rotating vendors with fresh produce, handmade goods, and trinkets, as well as food trucks that are going to satisfy your taste buds in every which way.

When: Every Thursday now until Oct. 18, 2026
Time: 4 to 8 p.m.
Where: 108th Avenue and 124th Street
Cost: Free

All aboard the High-Level Streetcar for the Street Car Cask series, where folks hop aboard the historic streetcar and take sips from exclusive brews — made just for these trips. As you experience a scenic ride above Edmonton, you’ll be able to enjoy the brews from Alberta’s finest.

When: Every Thursday
Time: 6 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.
Where: 10910 100th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $63.10+

Earth’s Refillery is throwing a dance party in their piazza, featuring live DJs, drag pop-ups, vendors, a silent auction and more.

When: Friday, June 12, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: 10831 95th St., Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $10
