The sun is back in the forecast, and we love to see it. It’s time to soak up the last full week of summer and give the season the proper sendoff it deserves! From some big-name concerts to a harvest festival at UBC, to a show that dives into the dangers of the manosphere, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (Sept. 14-18).

They might be known for “Pumped Up Kicks” (an absolute banger), but indie group Foster The People has many other hits that you can soon see live under the Freedom Mobile Arch.

When: Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 2901 East Hastings St. 
Cost: $69.50+

Another exciting concert coming your way. Beck David Hansen (known as Beck) is a singer-songwriter and record producer who rose to fame in the early ’90s for his experimental, lo-fi sound, and whose style has only evolved to include more wide-ranging genres over the years.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026
Time: 8 p.m.
Where: 630 Hamilton St. 
Cost: $238.70+

If eating your way through some early fall-inspired bites sounds like your ideal way to ring in the next season, consider checking out this stunning 750-person long-table dinner at UBC, serving locally sourced bites crafted by UBC Chefs.

Guests can expect a giant family-style feast featuring six dishes, live entertainment, and curated performances after dinner by UBC’s world-class Arts and Culture District.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile (known for hits like “The Story,” “The Joke,” and “Right on Time”) is coming to Vancouver this Thursday.

Pop Up Dances Festival is a celebration of new dance works that will soon pop up in surprising public spaces. Starting this Friday, you can check out this immersive festival at the VPL (main branch), set against its colosseum-inspired architecture.

When: Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026
Time: Noon to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 1 to 2 p.m., 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., and 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday
Where: 350 West Georgia St. 
Cost: Free

The iconic Shakespeare comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor is kicking off this year’s Bard on the Beach program, set in the community athletic centre of a (fictional) Vancouver suburb that happens to be obsessed with soccer. There are also a handful of other Shakespeare-inspired productions to keep an eye out for if you’re ready to check out what’s onstage next: Macbeth (now until Sept. 18), Goblin:Oedipus (now until Sept. 19), and Antigone (now until Sept. 18).

When: Shows throughout July, August, and September
Time: Showtimes at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
Where: 1695 Whyte St.
Cost: $30 to $103 per person, depending on seating

Boys’ Club dives into the complexities of masculinity and the rise of the online manosphere, created by rapper Alick Mac. It’s a show that mixes personal anecdotes and original songs to offer reflections on misogyny, mental health and masculinity, and you can catch it at Arts Umbrella (Scott Studio) until Sept. 19, 2026.

Hot Off the Press is a celebration of all forms of printmaking, showcasing everything from screen printing to linocuts to giclees, all by talented local artists. The show is on display until Sept. 26 and is curated by Natasha Redwood-Scribe.

When: On display until Sept. 26, 2026
Time: Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: 2111 Main St. 
Cost: Free

The Vancouver Maritime Museum still has immersive sailing experiences that explore Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it.

When: Select Thursdays and Sundays in June, July, August, and September, starting June 11, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: The yacht departs from the Vancouver Maritime Museum — 1905 Ogden Ave.
Cost: $1,099 per group (up to eight passengers)

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market. Make sure to check it out before it closes!
