Welcome to a truly spectacular, warm weekend, Vancouver! It feels like summer already, and we’re ready to make it count. From Earth Day festivities to new, limited-time art exhibitions to the return of the iconic Richmond Night Market, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (April 24 to 26).

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market, which kicks off at the end of the week! Soon, millions of visitors from across the globe will gather to share in the city’s excitement for FIFA season and beyond.

When: Opens Friday, April 24, 2026, operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Time: 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 11 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 8351 River Rd., Richmond
Cost: $7 for GA

It’s officially baseball season, and the Vancouver Canadians kick off the weekend with a final game against the Tri-City Dust Devils at The Nat this Friday.

When: Friday, April 24, 2026
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 4601 Ontario St. 
Cost: $25+

B.C.’s largest Earth Day celebration is back for its 15th year this weekend, so prepare to dance, eat tasty vegan and vegetarian fare, and shop from a wide selection of sustainable local brands. And if you want to revamp your garden, check out the budget-friendly native plant sale!

Art Against Climate Disaster is the newest exhibition presented by Re-Vision the Art of Recycling, a non-profit society of artists whose work focuses on highlighting the importance of conservation and stewardship. You can check out this fascinating exhibit until Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Deer Lake Gallery (Burnaby), which features large-scale toys and animals all made by repurposing discarded materials and found objects.

When: Open to the public daily until Saturday, April 25, 2026

You can relive your childhood nostalgia and catch a Studio Ghibli classic this weekend at The Rio. Kiki’s Delivery Service remains one of Miyazaki’s most popular works, and it has been restored this year for the big screen.

Time: Doors open at noon, movie starts at 12:30 p.m.

BUGS is a collective art show debuting at Slice of Life Gallery this Friday, with the exhibition of the bug-themed work of 30 Vancouver artists on display through the weekend. The opening night party will take place on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.

You’ll be able to chat with the artists, purchase cool bug merch, and keep the good vibes flowing with pinball and Legos.

When: Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, 2026
Time: 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, 2 to 8 p.m. on the weekend

The first of its kind to be built outside of China, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden turns 40 this week, and it’s celebrating with a special three-day celebration. The garden will offer its original 1986 admission pricing and opening hours, with plenty of history and timeless natural beauty to check out during your visit. There will be a variety of live cultural performances, traditional Suzhou-style food, and classical handicraft workshops.

When: Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, 2026

Cost: $4.58 for adult admission

This free community event at Trout Lake will feature tons of interactive games and family-friendly programming. This includes a drumming circle at the Indigenous Medicine Wheel Garden, an environmental puppet show, a kids parade, a hands-on family cooking workshop, free bike repair, creative stamp-making, seed potting and seed swaps, and so much more.

The Improv Centre is introducing a hilarious new show based on a rotating crew of space explorers, who must rely on audience suggestions to explore a different “galaxy” every show.

When: Opens Thursday, April 9, running Fridays and Saturdays until June 27, 2026

Where: 1502 Duranleau St. 
Cost: $31.50+

You can pick up some cherry blossom-themed treats at this year’s Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Fest, which brings new food and drink options to spots across the city.
