BUGS is a collective art show debuting at Slice of Life Gallery this Friday, with the exhibition of the bug-themed work of 30 Vancouver artists on display through the weekend. The opening night party will take place on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.

The first of its kind to be built outside of China, the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden turns 40 this week, and it’s celebrating with a special three-day celebration. The garden will offer its original 1986 admission pricing and opening hours, with plenty of history and timeless natural beauty to check out during your visit. There will be a variety of live cultural performances, traditional Suzhou-style food, and classical handicraft workshops.

This free community event at Trout Lake will feature tons of interactive games and family-friendly programming. The Improv Centre is introducing a hilarious new show based on a rotating crew of space explorers, who must rely on audience suggestions to explore a different “galaxy” every show.
