10 things to do in Toronto this week (April 13 to 17)

12 April 20265 Mins Read

Another week in Toronto and we’re not slowing down. There are tons of things to do in Toronto this week that will make you want to head out and get some fresh air.

Want to know what’s new in the city? Here are 10 of the best things to do this week in Toronto.

Steak and wine nights are now on Mondays, especially at The Drake. Enjoy an 8oz bavette with whiskey peppercorn sauce, crispy hand-cut fries, and half-price bottles of wine. And what’s dinner without some sounds? DJ Sinner & James will be spinning a blend of chill house and deep bass.

When: Mondays (March 12, 2026)
Time: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: The Drake Hotel – 1150 Queen St. W.
Cost: $38+

Learn how to play both American and Cantonese Mahjong at STACKT Market.

Four tables will be available, with four players per table, and spots are first-come, first-served.

“No spot? No problem, hang out, watch a round, and hop in when a seat opens,” shares organizers.

“This is a free event (Mahjong is typically $15/hour), making it the perfect chance to learn, practice, and meet others in the community!”

When: Tuesdays (April 14, 2026)
Time: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: STACKT Market – 28 Bathurst St.
Cost: Free

Tickets are still on sale to see Raye live at the Coca-Cola Coliseum!

When: April 13, 2026
Time: 8 p.m.
Where: Coca-Cola Coliseum – 45 Manitoba Dr.
Cost: $309+

If you needed an excuse to party this month, the Toronto Tempo is hosting a one-hour kickoff rally at the Coca-Cola Coliseum. Before the Bounce will be the team’s first public gathering, bringing the team, partners, and fans together. And you’ll get to experience Tempo basketball on its home court and get an early taste of the in-arena atmosphere.

Stick around for music, dance crew performances, and in-arena entertainment.

When: April 14, 2026
Time: From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Coca-Cola Coliseum – 19 Nunavut Rd.
Cost: $15

Need a midweek pick-me-up? Head to the Drake Lounge for a chef-curated sushi board and $10 sake cocktails. DJ Gil Masuda will be spinning the best, groovy hits from ’70s and ’80s Tokyo. Think funk, jazz, boogie, and soft rock.

When: Tuesdays (April 14, 2026)
Time: 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: The Drake Hotel – 1150 Queen St. W.
Cost: $37 sushi boards, $7 sapporo and $10 sake cocktails

Down for some trivia? Head to Insomnia Restaurant for what organizers call the “dopest pop culture quiz in town that pops with personality and the right amount of chaos!”

When: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Insomnia Restaurant – 563 Bloor St. W.

Not only does it sell fresh fruits and veggies, but you can also find meat and dairy products, prepared foods, baked goods, preserves, and more. The Dufferin Grove Organic Farmers Market is open every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.

When: Thursdays
Time: 3 to 7 p.m.
Where: Dufferin Grove Clubhouse at the Northwest corner of the park – 875 Dufferin St.

By saying “best pizza shops,” I’m sure you can already guess which Toronto restaurant has teamed up with Shake Shack. Pizzeria Badiali is taking part in this limited edition partnership, available ONLY at four Shake Shack locations in the city.

Spicy Vodka Chicken Parm, Pizza Fries with a Creamy Pepperoncini Dip, and a Brio Chinotto Shake. Talk about a dream collab!

Where: Yonge and Dundas – 10 Dundas St E.; Union Station – 65 Front St W; Yorkdale Shopping Centre – 3401 Dufferin St.; Yonge and Eglinton – 40 Eglinton Ave E.

Pickleball is back at The Well for yet another spring season! If you’ve been itching to get out of your house and back to the court, it’s your time to shine.

Toronto’s open-air shopping destination is also a community hub where events, experiences and cultural gatherings happen throughout the year. Now add pickleball spot to the list, and The Well will very much be my go-to spot this season.

When: Until May 4, 2026
Time: Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: The Well – 486 Front St W.
Cost: Court bookings are $40, with an additional $5 rental fee for paddles.

Another immersive experience is in Toronto, and this time it’s brought a vibrant, dreamlike world to life. Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will feature over 300 of Monet’s creations, transforming them into interactive works of art.

When: Running until spring 2026. Daily times, closed Tuesdays
Time: Timed entries
Where: YZD — 30 Hanover Rd.
Cost: $32.90 for adults, and $24.90 for children

Need something refreshing as we dive into spring? If you haven’t already noticed, Chick-fil-A launched a lineup of Strawberry Hibiscus drinks at its Canadian locations. We’re talking Strawberry Hibiscus & Sprite, Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade, Strawberry Hibiscus Frosted Lemonade and Strawberry Hibiscus Sunjoy.

Which one are you trying first?
