We’ve got the best things to do this week in Edmonton.

Whatever you’re looking for this week, we’ve got it. Whether it’s catching a movie at the Telus World of Science, exploring the wines at Winefest, or taking in the plants at the Muttart, there are so many things to do.

The Art Gallery of Alberta is one of the best art galleries in the province, with a good bang for your buck. It’s especially great considering the art gallery is almost completely refreshed every four to six months, allowing for an all-new experience each time you visit.

This is Edmonton’s science centre, with feature displays, interactive learning opportunities, and so much more. Here, you can even catch a movie in IMAX or visit its new exhibit, Jurassic World by Brickman.

Winefest Edmonton returns on February 20 & 21 at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Winefest admission includes an all-inclusive sampling of wines, hors d’oeuvres and a take-home Riedel wine glass.

The Muttart Conservatory is well-known in Edmonton for being a tropical paradise indoors during the winter months. Year-round, it holds majestic botanical gardens for everyone to see.

Currently, the Muttart Conservatory is showing off its “Prehistoric Paradise” feature. It’s showing off a step back in time with a lush, tropical landscape of banana plants, vibrant bromeliads and dinosaurs, which provide an incredible backdrop for photos.

With towering ancient mammoths, hundreds of live bugs, and the museum’s hands-on Children’s Gallery, this free-admission Family Day event will be fun for the whole family!

Looking to create your own fun? City Hall has free skate rentals on Family Day, so you can skate along with your loved ones all afternoon.

The Edmonton Public Library will be showing off a Canadian award-winning animated series in a four-hour marathon.
