Are you ready to have fun this week? We sure are, and we’ve got a whole bunch of things to do this week in Edmonton to prove it. Whether it’s visiting the majestic ice castles or participating in a local open mic night, we’ve got you covered.

These magical castles are only available in five locations, and Edmonton is one of the lucky cities. This celebration has been ongoing since 2011 and remains one of the most sought-after winter attractions of all time.

Rabbit Hill is Edmonton’s largest snow resort, offering over 40 acres of terrain and a thrilling tube park for over 70 years. It is now open for the winter season.

The snow is finally packed in, and it’s time for those winter hikes and trails in Edmonton.

We’ve rounded up some of the best winter hikes and trails in and around Edmonton. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned hiker, or just a casual trail lurker, we’ve got something for everyone. These trails are also good in the summer and for year-round walking, but we recommend them this time of year.

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

Inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and French Canadian, First Nations and Métis traditions, Flying Canoë Volant embraces Edmonton’s beautiful Mill Creek Ravine and the newly-established French Quarter. With relay races, traditional maple taffy stations, and more, this will be a festival to remember.

The Art Gallery of Alberta consistently hosts a variety of events and exhibitions, showcasing diverse perspectives and contemporary Canadian art.

On the last Thursday of each month, admission is free for all from 4 until 7 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to take a peek at their exciting exhibitions.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughs at The Grindstone Theatre!

This improv night is an evening of top-tier comedy featuring the city’s best improvisers, performing hilarious, unscripted scenes based on your wildest suggestions.

Friday Night Trivia is hosted each week at Telus World of Science’s Purple Pear Restaurant. This event is not only free but also family-friendly, so everyone can participate and compete.
