10 things to do this weekend in Edmonton (Aug. 21-23)

20 August 20265 Mins Read

We’ve got loads of things to do this weekend in Edmonton, with festivals, markets, and parties taking the spotlight during these three fun-filled days.

Whether you’re fringing out at the International Fringe Theatre Festival or you’re checking what vintage goods you can find at Decades Market, this weekend has a full slate of great activities ahead. If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do, we’re absolutely going to find something that suits your vibe.

Without further ado, let’s jump into the exciting events taking over Edmonton this weekend.

The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is ranked as one of the top five Fringe Theatre Festivals in the world, next to Edinburgh, Scotland, and Adelaide, Australia. According to its website, it’s also the largest and longest-running festival of its kind in North America. Since 1982, it’s only grown more and more and continues to flourish as one of Edmonton’s most iconic festivals.

If you’re familiar with Fort Edmonton Park‘s Where Dark Things Dwell, its highly anticipated sequel has arrived.

This market offers two experiences: its night market on Friday and the day market on Saturday. Both are extremely fun, but with different vibes attached to the events. This is going to be Decades Market’s last market of the summer, so you won’t want to miss this one.

Friday will have less of a crowd due to the event being ticketed, meaning you’ll get VIP early access to all the best curated pieces. Saturday will feature switched-out vendors, meaning more variety in food and drink, as well as more sick clothing to sift through.

Both days, you can expect DJ sets, tooth gems, and so many more cool opportunities.

When: Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026
Time: 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday; Noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday
