When the Korean-language competition reality series Physical: 100 debuted on January 24, 2023, Netflix found itself with a bona fide global success on its hands. For the six-month window of January through June 2023, Physical: 100 was watched for 235,000,000 hours, making it the 15th most popular series or movie in that period. By the end of 2025, the first season of Physical: 100 had been watched for more than 309,000,000 hours.

Another season was a no-brainer, and Physical: 100 Season 2 debuted a little over a year later on March 19, 2024. While it didn’t reach the viewership heights of Season 1, Season 2 had been watched for almost 160-million hours by the end of 2025. This was good enough for Netflix to commission versions of the show in Italy, Mexico, Sweden, and the United States, all of which are awaiting release. A team-based version of the series called Physical: Asia debuted on October 28, 2025, and racked up over 135 million hours viewed in the last two months of 2025.

So, what makes this show must-see TV and perfect for spin-offs? Physical: 100 offers a great balance of intriguing contestants, entertaining challenges, and diabolical editing that makes the show impossible not to binge. The 100 men and women who compete to be the sole champion represent a wide range of sports and professions in the show’s “search for the most perfect physique.” Every competitor has a plaster cast made of their torso that they must smash upon their elimination. The stakes are high, with half the contestants being eliminated after the first challenge. The competition arenas are impressive in scale, and quests draw on a variety of skills, whether via head-to-head matches or team competitions. And every episode ends with a cliffhanger.

With several new series on the way, let’s take a look at what seasons of Physical: 100 are already available to watch and the status of the international series in production.

Physical: 100 Series Currently Available

Physical: 100 (2023)

Language: Korean
Seasons: 2
Episodes: 18

It doesn’t take long to see why this series grabs viewers’ attention. Even when the challenge is something as simple as hanging from a bar, the show makes it fun by suspending the contestants over a pool of water. Elaborate sets where competitors work together to move a beached ship or complete tasks in an abandoned mine give the show a real “wow” factor. Great casting also helps, be it popular MMA fighters like Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Dong-hyun or athletes who became household names by being on the show, like CrossFitter Amotti or wrestler Jang Eun-sil.

Physical: Asia (2025)

Language: Korean
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 12

Physical: Asia is an entirely team-based version of the series featuring teams of six competitors each (four men and two women) from eight different Asian and Oceanian countries: South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Indonesia, Turkey, Australia, and the Philippines. While some contests like Shipwreck Salvage require the whole team to work together, others allow individual competitors to demonstrate their particular skills on behalf of their country. The most memorable showdown is a game of keep-away between feisty Indonesian jiu-jitsu athlete Fina Phillipe and Japanese baseball player Itoi Yoshio, who towers over her by at least a foot.

The real joy of the series is watching comradery develop within the teams and across nationalities. To this day, players from the different countries collaborate on Instagram content together and cheer each other on at international competitions. Mongolian MMA champ Enkh-Orgil Bhaatarkhuu‘s one-sided romance with Korea’s Jang Eun-sil is a delightful ongoing saga.

Bonus: Also watch the 2025 Japanese competition show Final Draft. It’s similar in format to Physical: 100 and features retired athletes, including Itoi Yoshio of Physical: Asia‘s Team Japan.

Physical: Welcome to Mongolia (2025)

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 4

Fans of Physical: Asia were so smitten with the scrappy underdogs of Team Mongolia that Netflix quickly threw together a 4-episode spin-off series called Physical: Welcome to Mongolia. Team Korea’s Kim Dong-hyun and Amotti join jovial Australian strongman Eddie on a tour of Mongolia, led by wrestler Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan and Cirque du Soleil acrobat Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir (whose wife and daughters are also acrobats and perform in the series).

Physical Series in Production

Physical 100: Italy

This is the new season closest to release, having featured in Italy’s 2026 Netflix Original slate reveal. Even the Netflix catalogue entry for Physical 100: Italy says “Coming in 2026.” The cast members revealed so far include including Olympic swimmer Federica Pellegrini, kickboxer Elisabetta Canalis, and gymnast Jury Chechi. Here’s the show’s initial trailer:

Physical 100: Mexico

After Italy, Physical 100: Mexico — aka “Habilidad Física 100: México” — is next closest to ready. It also featured in Netflix Mexico’s 2026 slate and has an official catalogue entry as well. Here’s how Netflix describes the series from producers Endemol Shine Boomdog and executive producers Kiren Miret and Harold Sánchez:

In a pre-Hispanic arena, 100 participants will compete to find out who has the best
physical abilities. Wrestlers, former soccer players, boxers, MMA fighters, firefighters, former Olympic athletes, military personnel, construction workers, etc…all under the same conditions and with the same goal: to defeat the other 99.

Physical 100: Sweden

Filming for Physical 100: Sweden will begin shortly. Per the casting call: “The recording takes place for 2-3 weeks in Sweden, May 2026.”

Physical 100: USA

The casting call for Physical 100: USA was announced on July 15, 2025, with an application deadline of September 21, 2025. In the initial announcement, Netflix said:

Physical: 100 became a breakout success around the world, soaring to the Top 10 in over 80 countries. Now, the US version will raise the bar, bringing together America’s most formidable competitors from across sports, fitness, and tactical disciplines in a battle to determine who has the most complete physique. A. Smith & Co. Productions is the production company behind Physical 100: USA, with Arthur Smith, David Friedman, Anthony Storm, and Eli Baldrige serving as executive producers. A filming location will be revealed at a later date.
