What are our most anticipated new series coming to Netflix in March 2026? From long-awaited new seasons to all-new dramas, here’s our rundown.

With the return of fan-favorite anime adaptation One Piece, along with a new series produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and so much more — March is a pretty massive month for Netflix originals. And that’s not all — the streamer is also bringing a couple of acclaimed TV series to its library, notably licensing Prime Video’s popular dystopian drama The Man in the High Castle.

Below, we’ve compiled eight series heading to Netflix that you need to add to your watch lists. Don’t forget, you can find the full list of what’s coming up in March 2026 here.

Vladimir

Coming to Netflix: March 5

Distribution: Netflix Original

Poised to be one of the breakout Netflix Originals of the month, Vladimir, everything needed to be a big hit. An adaptation of the book by Julia May Jonas, this 8-episode drama follows a middle-aged professor (Rachel Weisz) and her crush-turned-obsession with her younger colleague Vladimir, played by Leo Woodall. It’s described by Weisz (who is a producer as well as star) as a heightened fairy tale.

“The series explores themes related to desire, obsession, sexuality, lust. It also delves into the world of campus gender politics and cancel culture,” Weisz teased.

Boyfriend on Demand

Coming to Netflix: March 6

Distribution: Netflix Original

K-drama Boyfriend on Demand shares some similarities to a Black Mirror style story in terms of taking dating and putting a wild and heavy sci-fi spin on it. Unlike Black Mirror, however, this series leans a little heavier into the romance and comedic aspects.

We follow Mi-rae (Jisoo), who escapes reality through a subscription-based virtual dating simulation program, where she gets to experience the dates of her dreams.

“The series will let viewers vicariously experience exciting romance through the characters. I think it will be a fun treat for anyone who feels worn down by the monotony of everyday life,” star Jisoo said in a statement.

One Piece (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: March 10

Distribution: Netflix Original

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of beloved anime One Piece could’ve gone two ways, but the series instantly won the majority of viewers over. It had a heap of pressure to deliver; we’re talking about an adaptation of one of the most popular anime series of all-time. However, it managed to capture the magic in live-action, keeping the whacky, irreverent and whimsical elements in tact. Star Iñaki Godoy fit the role of Monkey D. Luffy perfectly, bringing an electric and infectious energy.

Season 2 has been a long time coming. Subtitled Into the Grand Line, the new episodes see our team, the Straw Hats, set sail toward the Grand Line in their ardent search for Gold Roger’s mysterious treasure. The official synopsis reads: “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey  through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”

One of the new additions to the cast is Mikaela Hoover as fan-favorite reindeer-human Tony Tony Chopper.

The Man in the High Castle (Seasons 1-4)

Coming to Netflix: March 11

Distribution: Licensed by Netflix

All four seasons of Prime Video series The Man in the High Castle are streaming on Netflix US from March 11, 2026 as part of a surprise licensing deal with MGM. Starring Alexa Davalos and Rufus Sewell, the dystopian series is loosely based on a novel of the same name by legendary Blade Runner writer Philip K. Dick. It sets out to visualise how the world would look if the outcome of World War II turned out differently. For instance, the United States was divided into three parts: a Japanese-controlled part, a Nazi-occupied section, and a buffer zone between both.

The Man in the High Castle is regarded for its rich storytelling and in-depth world-building. First airing in 2015, it was one of Prime Video’s first breakout original dramas. The series currently boasts a very solid 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Virgin River (Season 7)

Coming to Netflix: March 12

Distribution: Netflix Original

After debuting in 2019, Virgin River has become one of Netflix’s cornerstone shows — it currently has over 60 episodes across 6 seasons. It’s been quite a wait, but season 7 is finally upon us in March, following the journey of newlywed Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge). The new season introduces a few new faces, including Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) as Victoria and Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) as Clay. Austin Nichols (One Tree Hill) has also joined the cast, though his character is currently unnamed. Good news too – more is on the way with season 8 starting production this Spring.

That Night

Coming to Netflix: March 13

Distribution: Netflix Original

Netflix has had a lot of success with Spanish dramas over the years, you needn’t look further than Money Heist (or La Casa de Papel). And there’s even more than that. Next up is That Night, a new thriller based on the Sunday Times bestseller by Gillian McAllister, starring Clara Galle (Raising Voices), Claudia Salas (Elite) and Paula Usero (Love in Difficult Times).

The 6-part drama follows Elena (Gelle), who accidentally hits a man with her car while travelling in the Dominican Republic. Frightened, she calls her two sisters, Paula (Salas) and Cris (Usero), in a plea for help. Her sisters ardently stand by her side — but how far are they willing to go?

Put simply, it’s another story about a holiday that goes disastrously wrong.

Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole

Coming to Netflix: March 26

Distribution: Netflix Original

Based on the best-selling novels of Jo Nesbo, the most successful Norwegian author of all-time, this series follows the adventures of protagonist Harry Hole. First published in 1997, the Harry Hole saga began with The Bat, and has spawned 13 novels in total, the most recent being Killing Moon (2023). Nesbo is poised to publish another Harry Hole novel in 2026, titled Kill Shot.

Hole is a Norwegian police detective who works with the Oslo Crime Squad. While efficient at his job, the methods he uses are unorthodox to say the least. Hole is very much an anti-hero; straight-talking, chain-smoking, cut-throat, but battling his own demons. Think along the lines of John Constantine, minus the magic.

The upcoming Netflix series chronicles a murder mystery over nine episodes, starring Tobias Santelmann (Exit, The Arctic Convoy) as the titular anti-hero. “It’s been just great working with Tobias Santelmann and creating a character that is fresh, still true to the character and his universe in the novels. I’m really looking forward to presenting this Harry Hole to the audience,” Nesbo said in a statement, via TUDUM.

Something Very Bad is Going to Happen

Coming to Netflix: March 26

Distribution: Netflix Original

Created by Haley Z. Boston, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen is a horror series that takes viewers to perhaps the most unfortunate wedding of all-time. As the title suggests, the wedding is doomed from the outset.

The series takes place over a week, following Rachel (Camila Morrone) and Nicky (Adam DiMarco) on the lead-up to their wedding. However, what should be the most exciting time of their lives soon takes a turn. Further plot details are scarce, but this is cited as an unnerving, creepy psychological horror. It presents viewers with unease rather than cheap scares.

“I love to explore characters. I think sometimes that’s lacking in the horror genre,” creator Boston has said previously in a press release. “My natural approach is from a place of character and dialogue and humor and then infusing that with unsettling horror … I’m like, ‘I want to be unsettled. I want to be freaked out.’ ”

What’s more, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen has a top tier creative team behind it. The series is executive produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and directed by Baby Reindeer’s Weronika Tofilska.
