The ProgPower USA 2027 lineup is set, and it features familiar names from metal’s past alongside a new generation of progressive and power-metal acts.
Metal Church, Lynch Mob, and Nevermore are all bringing decades of history to the festival, with Nevermore marking a particularly notable return after reuniting in 2025 following a lengthy hiatus. Lynch Mob, meanwhile, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dokken‘s 1987 album Back for the Attack.

Taking to Instagram, the team behind the fest also unveiled the artwork, writing, “Proud to unveil the festival artwork for our 2027 edition, courtesy of our new incredible Art Director, @_mariodavid_.”
Mario David is a prominent visual artist, photographer, and creative director known for his extensive work within the international rock and heavy metal music scenes. He was appointed art director for the first progressive and power metal festival, with his portfolio featuring live photography and creative visual credits for prominent bands and artists such as Evergrey, Nevermore, Maestrick, and Roy Khan.
ProgPower USA will return to Atlanta’s historic Center Stage in 2027. The festival began in 2001, with its inaugural edition held in Lansing, Illinois, before moving to Atlanta, where it has remained ever since.
ProgPower has become known for bringing international progressive and power-metal acts to American audiences, with past lineups including Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Epica, Sabaton, and Symphony X.
The festival has also developed a reputation for its unusually intimate atmosphere and close relationship between artists and fans. Meet-and-greets, a vendor room, and the tradition of returning attendees have helped give ProgPower the feel of an annual metal family reunion.
