‘80s Rock Legend Teams With Adam Sandler on Led Zeppelin Classic

The New Year’s celebrations may be over, but those lucky enough to catch the all-star performance in Maui, Hawaii on New Year’s Eve featuring Sammy Hagar, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Mick Fleetwood and others may still be recovering.

Hagar shared footage of highlights from the performance on his official Instagram account on Jan. 1, including a clip of special guest star Adam Sandler joining him on vocals on a rousing version of the Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love.”

Sandler, sporting a blue and white Hawaiian shirt, wasn’t on stage with the band, but came up to the lip of the stage to join Hagar in an attempt to recreate Robert Plant’s legendary scream from the 1969 classic.

In the video, Hagar and Sandler are seen both holding the microphone and singing, “Way down inside, woman, you need…” At that point, Hagar added a couple of guitar strokes, flipped his shades up on his head, and pointed to Sandler, who asked, “Can I do this?” before the unlikely duo again joined forces to shout in unison, “Love!”

After, Hagar offered the comedy legend a hug and shouted, “Adam Sandler!”

Fans and even some of Hagar’s band mates were impressed by Sammy’s impromptu collaboration with Sandler.

Fellow former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, who now plays with Hagar in his Best of Both Worlds Band, posted, “Let’s get him in the band!!🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

“Yeaaahhhhh what a way to ring in the New Year 🙌🥂💖🎆🎸🎶,” one fan added.

“Bringing in the 🔥BLAZIN’🔥 New Year like no other! Here’s to a Red Rocking 2026…bring it on Baby…WE RE READY! 👽🛸🙌 🌴🫶😘🎉👽,” another added.

Mick Fleetwood also posted video of the performance on his official Instagram account with the caption: “HAPPY 2026 TO ALL! 🎉🎆 We rocked all night long… ✌🏻NYE benefit show here on Maui!! All proceeds benefit the Maui Health Foundation to provide high quality healthcare to those in need. Mahalo!! What a night and cheers to the new year… ❤️🎶 Xx Mick Fleetwood.”

Hagar responded to Fleetwood’s post, writing: “Guilty as charge caught in the act of having fun hey come on it was New Year’s Eve. What do you expect?😂😂😂😂 thank you Mr. Fleetwood and the rest of the gang for allowing me to join you❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
