Grab your flannel: These are the fall fairs happening near Toronto

27 August 20252 Mins Read

There was a slight chill in the air this week, and you know what that means. It’s time to break out the flannels, the pumpkin spice lattes, and road trips to fall fairs/festivals. Small town fests just hit different, so if you’re in Toronto and want to experience some autumn magic, these are the ones to jot down. Here are the fall festivals happening near Toronto.

Just over an hour from Toronto is one of the province’s oldest running fairs, the Orono Fair.

Think tractor rides, scarecrows, pie competitions, and cover bands.

When: Sept. 4 to 7, 2025
Where: 2 Princess St., Orono, Ont.

This adorable fair takes place at Elgin Park in Uxbridge.

The midway rides, tractor pulls, and fall treats will have you feeling like you’re in an episode of Gilmore Girls.

When: Sept. 5 to 7, 2025
Where: 180 Main St. S., Uxbridge, Ont.

Just over an hour from Toronto, this fall fair will have all the makings of a perfect autumn outing: livestock, music, midway rides, and fruit and vegetable competitions.

When: Sept. 11 to 15, 2025
Where: Brampton Fairgrounds — 12942 Heart Lake Rd., Caledon, Ont.

This fall fair has been around for 170 years, so you know it’s a good one.

Enjoy live music while you check out the midway, tractor pulls, and vendors’ market.

When: Sept. 26 to 28, 2025
Where: 136 Robert St., Milton, Ont.

According to the Markham Fair, this yearly event is one of Canada’s largest and longest-running county fairs!

There’s a demolition derby, plenty of food, rides, and shopping.

When: Oct. 2 to 5, 2025
Where: 10801 McCowan Rd., Markham, Ont.

Have a fantastic fall!
