Known for its immersive seasonal experiences, Maan Farms is always a popular visit among fall lovers, and this year looks to be no different. What’s more, the beloved Abbotsford farm has announced a new Halloween festival that’s putting an immersive twist on spooky season.
The aptly named Halloween Fright Festival will run from Sept. 27 to Nov. 1, 2025, bringing back the farm’s main haunted attractions like Canada’s Scariest Corn Maze and last year’s forest-themed pumpkin patch, and taking them to the next level.
“Every year, we aim to reimagine our farm, and we feel that we have added layers of atmosphere and performance, making this our most immersive season yet,” says Amir Maan, farmer at Maan Farms. “The driving inspiration behind the fright festival was to extend the magic of Halloween beyond a single night, reminiscent of childhood nostalgia where we gathered with our friends, wandering the streets in costumes, feeling spooked by the lurking darkness.”
As such, guests can expect “intense psychological torment” from a whole host of interactive activities.
“Every corner of the festival is built to start with a surprise, transition to a delight, and, for the brave, culminate in a sense of horror.”
Canada’s scariest corn maze
This year’s Slaughterhouse, considered the Scariest Corn Maze in Canada, returns with a new twist in the form of a brutal butcher who wields a chainsaw. Upon entry, guests are challenged with escaping his ire, escaping the horrific chambers room by room as they are pushed “further into the meat plant.”
Spooky sensory experiences
The Way Down is one of the most sensory experiences at the festival, featuring unsettling touch and sounds of footsteps and shadow beasts, until the hood is lifted to reveal yet another nightmare. This attraction takes place in the dark to heighten your other senses.
Last year’s Homestead has become 3D CarnEvil, a first-of-its-kind experience in B.C., where guests don 3D glasses and experience the hallucinogenic world of the carnival. Walls will bend, puppets will come to life, and neon-coloured horrors will catch your eye in this “playground of deception.”
Finally, the farm’s forested pumpkin patch has been elevated to the Frightfully Fun Forest Pumpkin Patch, taking a classic fall experience and transforming it into a whimsical maze to wander.
Guests can step beneath mist-shrouded trees, draped with strung lights, and the magical pieces from Spring at the Farm’s Tulip Forest, such as the life-size mushroom house and butterfly house. These will transition into Halloween photo opportunities.
Once the sun goes down, guests can expect a live show to beckon the night. Dispersed between the attractions, these additional stage shows will play on rotation along the wine garden, Midway, and the pumpkin patch.

Note that Slaughterhouse is a no-contact, self-guided attraction, but 3D CarnEvil and The Way Down are touch
experiences. For the latter, all guests are required to sign a liability waiver.
Maan Farms is typically open Friday to Sunday from 7 to 11 p.m. during Halloween season (late September through October), though the festival will run some Thursdays and on Halloween night.
Ticket prices vary depending on the night you choose to go. And since they are not sold in person, it’s best to book your spot sooner rather than later.
GA tickets range from $50 to $95 per person, per attraction, but admission to the Slaughterhouse, The Way Down, and Homestead is set between $70 and $120, if you want to get the biggest bang for your buck.
