Hilton has announced the opening of York Medellin, its first Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Medellín, Colombia. This new property is the 27th Hilton hotel in Colombia and the third under the Curio Collection brand in the country, following locations in Cartagena and Bogotá.
York Medellin is located in the El Poblado neighborhood, a key area of Medellín. The hotel features 111 suites, each equipped with modern amenities, including voice-controlled settings, smart home assistants, and 4K televisions. The suites range in size from 33 to 56 square meters and include separate living areas and fully equipped kitchens. The hotel is also pet-friendly.
The property includes a rooftop area on the 23rd floor, offering panoramic city views and an infinity pool. Additional amenities include the Henko Spa, offering a range of wellness treatments, and a fitness center on the 22nd floor.
Dining options at York Medellin include the Nomade Restaurant, which offers a menu with local and international influences, and the Ze View Rooftop Bar, known for its 360-degree views of the city and a selection of cocktails and wines. The hotel also provides a complimentary breakfast buffet.
For business and event needs, York Medellin offers several venues, including meeting rooms and open-air terraces that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The hotel also features coworking spaces and business services tailored for corporate travelers.
York Medellin is located near several key attractions, including the Medellín Chamber of Commerce, Club Campestre, and EAFIT University. It is also in proximity to shopping centers such as Oviedo and Santafé, as well as leisure spots like Parque Lleras and the Atanasio Girardot Stadium.
The opening of York Medellin is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to expand its lifestyle brands in the Caribbean and Latin America. Hilton currently operates nearly 300 hotels in the region and has a development pipeline of over 150 properties.
