When Samsung talks about the “TV of the future,” it isn’t just talking about bigger screens, but rather about a television that talks back.
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 Conference in Las Vegas, SW Yong, President of VD Business at Samsung Electronics, spoke to attendees about how the company plans to redefine the role of the TV in the connected home in 2026.
“We are currently experiencing a transformation in the way viewers enjoy the television experience, shifting from one centered on viewing to one based on direct interaction with users,” said Yong. “As television evolves, Samsung is continuing to earn its leadership role year after year by building on its legacy of hardware excellence.”
Part of that vision, he added, is to have the screen on your wall become an interactive, AI-powered home hub that can understand what you’re watching, surface relevant info, and even help guide what you do next.
As Hun Lee, executive vice president of VD Business, said in the session: “As the quality of content improves, it’s natural for users to want a higher degree of immersion.”
Here were the biggest takeaways from Samsung’s sessions at CES:
The World’s First 130-inch “Micro RGB” TV
Samsung showcased what it calls the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV, a massive set meant to deliver “next-generation color” and a more design-forward presence in the room. Samsung says Micro RGB uses micro-sized red, green, and blue LEDs that “shine independently” to produce more “pure” color.

A Vision AI Companion
Samsung’s pushed something it calls Vision AI Companion (VAC) — an AI layer designed to make the TV more intuitive, conversational, and personalized. It will be integrated across nearly its entire 2026 TV lineup, according to a press release.
As the company explained, VAC can understand what’s on screen, anticipate what you might want, and show “contextual information directly on the screen,” turning it from a passive display into something that participates in your day.
A screen that moves at your pace.
With Vision AI, your viewing experience becomes more personal and intuitive — without getting in the way.

An AI Kitchen
Samsung also previewed a home where appliances act like interactive partners, designed to help create what it called a “zero-housework lifestyle.”
From a Bespoke Double Wall Oven, an AI 3-Door AutoView French Door Refrigerator, and AI Wine Cellar, Google Gemini is integrated into their appliances.
According to Samsung, AI Vision will be able to recognize a wider range of food items as ingredients are added or removed, feeding an improved AI Food Manager that supports ingredient management, grocery planning, recipe recommendations, and efficiency reports.

AI Washer, Dryer, and Vacuum
Samsung also introduced the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, which adds a booster heat exchanger that improves dehumidification by up to 15% and supports a maximum drying capacity.
The Washer Dryer Combo uses AI Wash to sense fabric, load, and soil—optimizing water, time, and detergent, and using up to 15% less. Samsung is reimagining everyday care for a smarter living, that’s efficient and future-ready.

On the vacuum side, Samsung showcased the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, which it called “the world’s strongest suction power.” The product uses AI object and liquid recognition to identify furniture, cables, and even colored or clear liquids.
