Ailsa Pollard Appointed Chair of ABTA

Ailsa Pollard has been elected as the new Chair of the ABTA Board of Directors, effective immediately.

The ABTA Board of Directors has announced the election of Ailsa Pollard as its new Chair. She succeeds Alistair Rowland, who is stepping down after completing his maximum term. Pollard joined the ABTA Board in April 2022 and is a non-executive director of the parent company of Newmarket Holidays, an ABTA member.

Pollard’s previous roles include CEO of dnata Travel Group, UK and Europe, and Senior Vice-President of Emirates Holidays. Her appointment comes as the travel industry continues to navigate evolving challenges and opportunities.

Alistair Rowland, the outgoing Chair, served on the ABTA Board for six years. His tenure included efforts to support the association’s members and promote industry standards.

ABTA, a travel association, represents its members’ interests and advocates for consumer confidence in the travel sector.
