Accor has entered into an agreement to develop the Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar, a new-build resort located in Narendra Nagar, Rishikesh, India. The property is expected to open in 2030 and will feature 160 rooms and suites. The resort is being developed in partnership with Dangayach Group.
The Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar will occupy eight acres overlooking the Ganges valley. Plans for the property include five dining venues: a signature restaurant, rooftop dining, a pool bar and grill, and a lobby lounge and bar. The resort will also offer wellness facilities, including two swimming pools, a 623-square-meter spa with six treatment rooms, a fitness center, and yoga and meditation programs.
Event spaces at the resort will exceed 2,000 square meters, including indoor ballrooms, outdoor lawns, and a dedicated bridal suite. These facilities are intended to accommodate weddings, wellness retreats, meetings, and conferences.
The project is being developed as a new build and will incorporate Accor’s sustainability and energy-efficiency guidelines under the Planet 21 and Gaia 2.0 frameworks. The Dangayach Group, with experience in hospitality, jewelry, and real estate, is the project’s development partner.
The opening of Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar is part of Accor’s strategy to expand its luxury portfolio in India. The resort aims to serve both domestic and international travelers seeking leisure, wellness, and event facilities in Rishikesh.
