It’s going to be a balmy weekend here in Calgary, and we’re celebrating with a night on the town. From live jazz to ballet, magic shows, theatre, and more, it’s a weekend packed with the arts.

Whether you’re looking to try something new or want to spend quality time with friends and fam, here are all the best things to add to your calendar this Jan. 16 to 18 weekend in Calgary, Alta.

Banff and Lake Louise will come alive this January with SnowDays, a vibrant celebration that will transform the streets of the mountain resort town into a true winter wonderland.

Capitol Hill Community Association will host a one-of-a-kind, all-ages illusions and magic spectacular featuring Calgary performer Robert Wong.

Step into a world where emotion takes form, and the feminine body becomes both the question and answer. TD AMPLIFY: Episode 1 unites three distinct yet intertwined forces — the emotional alt-pop spectacle of SHY FRiEND, the dark, abstract physicality of Sierra Oszust, and the genre-defying live art and contemporary drama of Murmur Theatre’s Rita Rebetskaya and Polina Káulio.

Heritage Park’s Gasoline Alley comes alive with an afternoon of dance, culture and community. Rooted in a deep connection to the land, the Owl Dance was gifted to the Blackfoot through nature as a celebration of courtship and joy. Though these traditions were once suppressed, the dance endured — evolving through resilience and blending with the movements of the Waltz.

Vivaldi, Venice, and violins: all three are celebrated in Vivaldi’s Ring of Mystery, a compelling story about an orphan girl in the early 1700s who is in search of her roots.
