Vancouver’s iconic Khatsahlano Street Party is back in a big way this summer. As Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival, it’s a significant part of the city’s cultural fabric, bringing together thousands of festival-goers for a day party like no other.
The long-standing tradition brings Vancouver’s best local artists and food vendors to West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano for a massive summer celebration. Local businesses along West 4th participate in the fun, creating a high-energy array of pop-ups that attendees can peruse at their leisure.
In a recent post, organizers of the festival share that this year’s free-to-enter street party will be “bigger, brighter, and more whimsical than ever,” hinting at a possible Alice in Wonderland theme.
“Khatsahlano Street Party will transform West 4th Avenue into a fantastical playground of music, art, food, shopping, and community magic,” organizers share. “Get ready to step through the looking glass.”
In years past, Khatsahlano has featured over 50 food vendors, with beer gardens and live music stages scattered throughout West 4th, between MacDonald and Burrard streets. Musicians and artists from across Canada have performed, from Hotel Mira to Missy D., to Meltt. It’s a great place to discover your new favourite artist or try something new that you’ve had your eye on for a while.
And of course, having a couple of drinks with your friends in a street party environment is hard to pass up.
When is the 2026 Khatsahlano Street Party?
Khatsahlano officially makes its way back to West 4th Avenue on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Vendor applications are now officially open online.
